Full day to explore Colombia's capital city of Bogota : - Cerro de Monserrate is the 3152m peak flanking the city's east. Over there, you will enjoy a stunning view over the city and its surroundings. At the top, there is a white church, accessible by cable car or by funicular railway, it is a sanctuary for pilgrimages and particularly crowded on holy days. -The Candelaria district : Bogota's historical centre. You will be walking through its cobblestoned streets, you will discover colorful colonial mansions, splendid carved wooden balconies as well as churches built in baroque style. - The Gold museum displays one of the most dazzling collections in South America. It brings together around 34.000 pieces of goldsmith work, considered as the world´s largest pre-Colombian collection of its kind. Those artifacts come from different civilizations : Quimbayas, Taironas, Muiscas or Tolimas. - Botero Museum is dedicated to the most famous colombian artist, Fernando Botero. The Museum features both his works (around a hundred of drawings, paintings and sculptures) as well as his private collection with no less than 85 masterpieces of well known artists, such as Dali, Renoir, Chagall, Picasso, Miro, etc. - Bolivar Square (Plaza Bolivar) surrounded by Bogota's greatest monuments, including the Town Hall, the Palace of Justice, Primatial Cathedral and the Congress Building. Local Market and Coffee Region

Half-day dedicated to the visit of La Plaza de Mercado de Paloquemao, which is an authentic, chaotic Colombian market where you are able to get exotic tastes and buy everything you need to cook a real "Bogotano" recipe. You continue towards the Chapinero district where you taste a starter from any part of the country. Then you will have your main course in a fusion restaurant located in Quinta Camacho district. Filandia & coffee plantation

Day dedicated to the discovery of the typical landscapes of the coffee region: Departure for the surroundings of Filandia. This is an opportunity to learn more about the local agriculture of this beautiful region. You will visit a coffee farm which produces as well a lot of tropical fruits such as plantain bananas. Then you will go to a “trapiche” (sugar cane plantation farm) to see all the process of what we call here in Colombia “panela”. After a delicious lunch in one of the best restaurant of the village, you will visit the small and colorful village of Filandia, which has nothing to envy to its neighbor Salento. Finally, you will pass by a coffee cooperative to understand the local producers´ organization and the coffee trade. This very confidential visit will show you the process of coffee bags, whose seeds are carefully studied before being sold and roasted. Return to your hotel in the afternoon. Read more

City Tour Santa Marta

Transfer to Pereira airport for your domestic flight. Domestic flight to Santa Marta (optional, please contact us). Arrival at Santa Marta airport. For half a day, you enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city of Santa Marta: Bahia, historic center and its cathedral, San Francisco, Quinta San Pedro). Then you stop at the Hacienda San Pedro Alejandro which is a property dedicated to the famous South American liberator, Simon Bolivar. It is in this nice building that he spent his last days and died on the 17th of December 1830. Some of his personal belongings are displayed as well as a collection of portraits and sculptures created by famous artists (Alejandro Obregon, Edgar Negret). Cocoa Farm and beach time

Early in the morning, departure for the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta where you will visit a traditional cocoa farm. A hike in the jungle leads you to the little farm.
