Welcome to Colombia! Arrival at Medellin and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2
City tour Medellin
This day will be dedicated to Medellin City tour. You will start the day by a guided walking tour of Carabobo district to discover the different types of architecture of the city: from Palacio Nacional to Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria basilica, before reaching Plaza Botero, where you will discover the unique style statues of Colombia´s famous artist Fernando Botero. In the afternoon, a ride on the Metrocable will take you up to the hills of the city to enjoy Medellin from above. Then, visit Santo Domingo district before going to the famous Comuna 13 and discover this innovative neighborhood where street art and culture are the new instruments of peace and transformation. Note: Optional visit of Antioquia museum. Located in the Grand Art Deco Palacio Municipal, this museum houses the largest collection of works donated by Medellin native Fernando Botero as well as pre-Colombian, colonial and modern art collections. DAY 3
Arvi Park & Street Food Tour
No matter where you are, Medellin's greenery and mountain scenery will captivate you. You take the metrocable, one of the city's emblematic transport modes, which is also environmentally friendly, to get to the Arvi Park and enjoy the vast forest areas. You then head for the Medellin Botanical Garden to discover this site that is the pride of the city and the scene of numerous events such as the Book Festival. Discover the traditional gastronomy of the city. Taste exotic Colombian fruits at a local market before tasting fried dishes, which are very popular in the Colombian cuisine. You will finish this half day of tastings with a typical dessert. Read more

Pacific Region
Transfer to Olaya Herrera airport (Medellin national airport) for your domestic flight. Domestic flight to Bahia Solano (aditionnal, contact us). Welcoming at the airport and transfer by jeep, riding along the Pacific Coast, to your lodge. Free afternoon to relax and enjoy the charms and treasures of this natural paradise. Read more

Whale-watching
A discovery stay to explore the surroundings of Bahia Solano: walk through the tropical vegetation, boat trip where you will maybe have the chance to meet with Humpback Whales. This area of Colombia is – as well – known for its turtles and dolphins. During your stay, you will visit Nuqui national park which is certainly one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of the country. There, the tropical forest meets with the sandy beaches that merge with the crystal clear waters. Read more

DAY 6
Almejal Natural Reserve
A discovery stay during which you'll have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area. Suggested hike: Almejal Natural Reserve (half-day excursion) After breakfast, departure for the discovery of conservation projects and the surrounding fauna, and visit to the organic vegetable gardens set up by the lodge. During this hike, you'll have the opportunity to discover the local vegetation and the various treatments and natural by-products that the natives of the region use in their daily lives: tree sap, leaves, insects, etc. Being a very remote and difficult-to-access region, you'll be surprised by the ingenuity of the "chocoanos" and their knowledge of the flora and fauna, which is still passed on to new generations today!
