To start the day, a rickshaw ride in the centre of the city that allows you to discover the main centres of interests of the Vietnamese capital: the neighbourhood of the “36 corporations”, the quarter of the embassies, the surroundings of the lake … Visit of the temple of the Literature, built in the 1070, a symbol of the education in the country, that represents the traditional Vietnamese architecture. Lunch in a local restaurant. Walk in the surroundings of the Ba Dinh square. Pictures in front of the impressive Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, place of eternal rest of the greatest leader of the Vietnamese people. Visit the One Pilar pagoda, known for its original construction in teak, emerging from water. Discover a surprising part of the Vietnamese capital, a street where the train passes a few centimetres from doorsteps! Enjoy a cup of coffee on this street and watch the train pass in front of you, a unique experience. Dinner at leisure. Night at the hotel. Optional: At 10 o’clock at night, visit the Quang Ba flower market, the biggest in Hanoi. Breakfast at the hotel. Road to Halong Bay through the Delta of the Red River, to board a cruise ship to the most unknown part of the Bay (Lan Ha Bay). Arrival at the port and boarding on a speedboat to be taken to the cruise ship. Installation in your cruise cabs and lunch with fresh seafood on board. Begin the cruise within the less touristic and cleanest areas of the Bay, navigating through imposing karstic mountains and about 3000 islands and islets emerging from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. First stop in a cave area, to navigate in kayak or small boats, visiting two natural caves. Return to the cruise ship to enjoy the sunset views over the bay and the possibility of swimming in its waters, jumping from the top of the cruise ship. Barbecue dinner on board. Continuation with Bayon, a temple famous for its towers with faces which reproduced the bodhisattva, but also for the fineness of its bas-reliefs. Bayon is one of the most noteworthy monuments of Angkor. Visit the Terrace of Elephants, also called the royal terrace, where the king and his court attended the ceremonies. The Terrace of the Leper King, its name comes from a statue which was on the terrace and which was named « leper king » in memory of the king Yasovarman 1 who built Angkor and died of leprosy. Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, transfer by road to the Kuang Si waterfalls, incredible jumps of turquoise water, forming stunning natural pools. On the road, stop at the Phosy market and then visit the village of Ban Sing for a short walk through this authentic hamlet. Walk up to the local pagoda with views of the Mekong River. Continue towards the National Park that houses the waterfalls. Start a walk through the Park, contemplating the different waterfalls and visit an Asian Bears rescue centre. In the afternoon, visit of the Royal Palace of Haw Kham, built in 1904 during the colonial period, by order of the King Sisavang.
