Cradle of Humankind & Northern Safari | Wildlife & African Cultural Heritage

Take a journey with us traveling slowly through the fascinating northern parts of South Africa, rich in both cultural and historical legacies. You will visit various cultural sites that each offer unique experiences with a chance to sample the diversity of this rainbow nation and our common ancestral roots, which bind us all together as humankind. On top of this, a chance to visit two world-class Game Reserves during the trip makes this well-rounded!

Apartheid & Culture | Jo'burg & Soweto

Be welcomed by your guide at your time of choice, preferably in the morning. Pick up can either be directly from the airport (O.R. Tambo International) or from your place of choice in Johannesburg. Beginning our tour around Johannesburg, we spend the first day visiting the many fascinating cultural aspects of the City of Gold. We head off to the south western areas, where both a tour of the Soweto township and a visit to the Apartheid museum start the contrast of cultures in the economic beating heart of RSA. In the evening, transfer across to Maropeng, the Cradle of Humankind, to check into your lovely boutique hotel and relax. Dinner will be enjoyed at the hotel at leisure. Read more

This was my first visit to Africa and to be honest...I had no idea what to expect and was a bit nervous. The trip turned out to be one that far exceeded my expectations with great memories that will last a lifetime. Booking a trip with Siya Phambile was great choice and one that I would make again.

Lucy, United States

I had an amazing experience with Siya Phambile Expeditions. Benjamin was our most excellent guide and he truly went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed the beauty and wonders of South Africa. The Safari Tour at Kruger National Reserve was incredible.
