Day One: Trip to Ssese Island On arrival at the Entebbe international airport, you will be met by our safari guide who will then transfer you to Masaka, have lunch in Masaka town. Transfer to Bukakata Landing site on Lake Victoria after your guide’s briefing about the tour. Board a ferry to Luuku site on Ssese islands, then transfer to Lutoboka bay. Read more
Day Two: Birding, Nature Walks, Fishing, Bike Riding on the Island Wake up with great views of the white sand beach on Ssese Islands and depending on your desire, you may take a Forest/Nature walk in Lutoboka Central Forest Reserve, The lutoboka forest is described as medium altitude moist forest lying on 378 hectares of land gazzetted in 1948.and if you are a bird lover,there are over 300bird species in the forest and lots of primates in the forest on Ssese Island in the Lutoboka Forest. Day Three: Transfer Back to Kampala Have breakfast to transfer to Luuku landing site and aboard the ferry to Bukakata landing site on Lake Victoria. You will then drive back to Kampala for departure flight.
The trip of a lifetime! We just returned from 10 days Safari and it was just wonderful. Uganda had all the activities we wished for and Home To Africa Tours & Travel had an affordable itinerary that did not disappoint. Elias and Paul met us at the airport and made sure we were looked after and comfortable for the entire trip. Paul is an excellent and knowledgeable guide and very good at spotting animals. We saw the big five animals and so many more and enjoyed multiple game drives and boat rides. Each of the five national parks we visited had their own atmosphere and attributes and we loved them all. This itinerary required many hours of road travel but there was so much to see while riding through the countryside. It was endlessly interesting to see the trading centers, homes, people, and especially the friendly children of Uganda. We particularly enjoyed the game drives and were amazed at all the animal sightings. Our lodgings were comfortable with good food and we did not have to worry about a thing as Paul is an experienced guide and led us along on a trip we will never forget. Home To Africa Tours arranged the next leg of our trip to Victoria Falls which was a sight to see and those plans all fell into place without a hitch. My mind is still so full from all the things I learned on this trip and I have over 300 photos to enjoy. Overall we were very happy with our family vacation with Home to Africa tours and travel. It was planned according to our wishes and we saw, experienced and tasted more than we had ever hoped for (thank you for the unexpected, fantastic birthday and graduation cakes!). The parks, trekking, animals, people, markets, scenery, food and experiences were all wonderful, not to mention the rafting. The lodgings were at times a bit simpler than we'd hoped for but worked out for us anyway. Our guide was very knowledgeable regardless whether it came to animals, history, agriculture, nature, politics, really anything. Unfortunately he was short tempered with little patience and at times put a damper on the atmosphere. All in all we are very happy with our trip to Uganda and have managed to raise a lot of interest from friends and colleagues. Read more
