This tour can start in Johannesburg or Durban, where your guide will collect you and transfer you to Didima Camp in Cathedral Peak for check-in. Cathedral Peak 1 night

Wake at your leisure and enjoy the magnificent views of the Drakensberg and Cathedral Peak, right from your room. Your guide will be available for an early morning hike if you so desire. Breakfast is served back at the lodge restaurant. Visit the Didima Bushman (San) Rock Art Museum, which gives amazing insight and information on the Bushmen's way of life, art and culture. Many real artifacts from the San people have been recovered and are on display here. You will then check out and make your way to another area of the 'Berg' called Giants Castle. Arrive at Giants Castle Camp and check into your accommodation. The scenic mountain wonderland takes its name from the massive ramparts of rock rising above the lodge, of which the silhouette of its peaks and escarpment against the sky resemble a sleeping giant! Take a short hike to some authentic San Rock art in the afternoon, beautifully preserved in some rock overhangs. Dinner in the lodge restaurant. Spend the day enjoying the fresh air and scenery. Many types of antelope and baboon are present within the reserve, including the mighty Eland (Africa's Largest antelope) which were the sacred animal of the San people. Giants Castle 1 night

You can wake at your leisure, enjoy the surroundings and then have breakfast. Afterwards we will visit the vulture hide and restaurant, a magnificent spot where you can get up close and personal with these amazing birds. Sit in the hide whilst they come down to feed a few meters from you, and if you are lucky you might get to see the iconic and endangered Bearded Vulture endemic to these mountains. Then we head to the Northern Berg and the famous Amphitheater. Upon arrival you can check in and freshen up and then take a short walk to some beautiful rock pools, all in the shadow of the mighty Amphitheater and the Tugela fall, the 2nd highest in the world 910m! Dinner will be served afterwards, back at the lodge. Read more

Thendele Camp 2 nights

Today we do a hike to the Tugela River Falls. There are 2 options available which you can discuss with your guide. The one is up the river valley and to the base of the falls, and takes around 8 hours return. It is a bit more strenuous, but insanely beautiful. The other you drive to the top of the escarpment and then hike for 2 hours, ending up at the top of the falls. Here you have incredible views of the entire Drakensberg and valleys below you. After a long day of exploring, relax and put your feet up back at your bungalow, before enjoying a great dinner. Read more

Thendele Camp

You wake and have breakfast, a small hike can be taken for one last look at the nature around you. Then it is the transfer back to either Johannesberg or Durban or continue your adventure with us with one of our other destinations.
