Looking for something a little different? Try our hot air balloon safaris and search for the big 5 over the skies of the beautiful Pilanesberg National Park. This is a highly recommended tour, particularly for honeymoon couples.
We depart Johannesburg (Pretoria) at 07:30 for the park. The drive is a mere 2.5 hours and on arrival we take 30 minutes to settle in to the chalet before we go hunting for the big 5! Lunch will be at a picnic spot within the park. We can relax but still enjoy the peacefulness of nature around us. We'll return to camp for a brief rest if the heat of the day is too much before departing for an afternoon drive once again. Dinner this evening will be at the restaurant. Read more
The highlight of the tour starts this morning as we book you onto an early morning hot air balloon ride! What could be better than viewing wildlife while riding high among the clouds? The flight is approximately an hour and on landing, sparkling wine is served. A leisurely game drive is then taken through the park to the game lodge where breakfast is served, after which guests are returned to their chalet. We take some well deserved rest time before a late afternoon game drive or alternatively visit the Sun City Resort. Dinner at the restaurant this evening and then lights out! Read more
We like being flexible for our guests. An early morning game drive is ideal for day but if you prefer to sleep in we can arrange a mid morning drive instead. We'll grab a well deserved mid morning breakfast upon return to camp. We pack up and clear out of our chalet and say goodbye as we head back to Johannesburg. Before arriving back we will pop in at one of the various craft markets en route, in case you want a few souvenirs. Tour ends. Read more
Our safari experience exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Doug, was fantastic. He helped us set up activities that we would enjoy and woke us up in the morning to make sure we'd get to them on time. He was extremely knowledgeable about where, when, and how to look for animals while we were driving around the park. He even helped us find better accommodations in Johannesburg. There is something said about the African bush, once you visit once you'll want to go back. I couldn't agree more. Our guide, made this an unforgettable experience allowing us to not see just the big five, but introduced us to the little 5 such as the rhino beetle. Never would have known they existed without his knowledge. Not usually one for camping, but loved the real bush experience. Read more
We had the most wonderful, authentic bush experience with Adventure Anywhere. To see Cheetah in the wild was really amazing. Every part of our tour was well organised and enjoyable.
