Experience BIG 5 country in South Africa's most popular national park the Kruger. The largest game reserve in the country has a host of wildlife. Join us on this unique trip as we explore wild animals both by car and on foot with armed rangers and retire each night to a traditional type bungalow accommodation. A tour you won't want to miss!
The tour departs Johannesburg (Pretoria) at 07:30 for the park. We take a brief pit stop for lunch before arriving and settling in to our bungalow. An afternoon game drive is in order! We arrive back to camp to a sunset braai (barbecue) cooked by your guide. Take a load off and enjoy the camp fire as we take in the beauty of the park at night and get ready for the days to come. We hit the ground running on day 2 at 05:30 with coffee and biscuits before departing for a sunrise game drive in an open top vehicle. We return to camp for a hearty breakfast and some leisure time. The middle of the day can be quite hot so a chance to lounge by the pool is most welcome. We continue on in search of the BIG 5 by visiting alternative parts of the park. We like to stay in the park as long as possible and look to catch a sunset before returning to camp for dinner. Read more
We depart again early, this time for a guided bush walk, offering us a completely different view of the park. Hungry stomachs will be filled with breakfast at the restaurant afterwards. Once again we'll have some leisure time during the day to either spend by the pool or take in more game. Today we will have an early dinner as we have a fantastic night drive in an open top vehicle organised! Keep your eyes peeled, many of these animals are not visible during the day. Read more
We enjoy our last breakfast in the park before breaking camp and heading out. We exit the park and make our way to our Blyde River Canyon accommodation with a pit stop at God’s Window in the south of the reserve. We enjoy a leisurely breakfast at camp before packing up and heading to the Three Rondawels and the incredible landscapes of the Blyde River Canyon area. What a way to end the tour! Time to return to Johannesburg.
Our safari experience exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Doug, was fantastic. He helped us set up activities that we would enjoy and woke us up in the morning to make sure we'd get to them on time. He was extremely knowledgeable about where, when, and how to look for animals while we were driving around the park. He even helped us find better accommodations in Johannesburg. There is something said about the African bush, once you visit once you'll want to go back. I couldn't agree more. Our guide, made this an unforgettable experience allowing us to not see just the big five, but introduced us to the little 5 such as the rhino beetle. Never would have known they existed without his knowledge. Not usually one for camping, but loved the real bush experience. Read more
We had the most wonderful, authentic bush experience with Adventure Anywhere. To see Cheetah in the wild was really amazing. Every part of our tour was well organised and enjoyable.
