Flight into Port Elizabeth. Port Elizabeth was established to accommodate British settlers who were bought out on a government sponsored programme to provide a buffer between the warring Cape Dutch and the Xhosa. The little port grew from there and today it is the gateway to the Garden Route, as well as the Eastern Cape’s game reserves and beaches. Knysna is the center of the Garden Route region, a lush 200 km stretch of coastal plain which is sandwiched between the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma Mountains. Knysna was established around beautiful indigenous forests and a gorgeous lagoon. Visit the privately-owned Featherbed Nature Reserve, a pristine piece of paradise situated on the Western Head of Knysna, accessible by ferry only. Read more
After the Featherbed Nature Reserve, explore the Garden Route venturing as far as Storms River Mouth Nature Reserve. This, "the place of much water", is the Tsitsikamma Section of the Garden Route National Park. The heartland of the park stretches some 5km to sea, protecting a wonderland of inter-tidal life, reef and deep-sea fish. Dolphins frolic in the breakers, surfing and playing for the sheer joy of life, and the gentle giant of the ocean, the southern right whale visits here, coming inshore to breed. Read more

2 Hour scenic drive to Cape Town. Acorn House is an elegant guesthouse in one of Cape Town’s prime residential suburbs on the foot of Table Mountain.
Visit Kirstenbosch Gardens and Groot Constantia Wine Estate. On the lower slopes of Table Mountain, the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens showcases some of the Cape’s rich flora. Taking centre stage here is the unique ‘fynbos’ vegetation, including the beautiful Proteas.
Take a boat trip to Robben Island, an icon of struggle, freedom and hope made famous by Nelson Mandela's imprisonment here. This notorious prison is located seven kilometres off the coast of Cape Town in Table Bay.
Take a tour of the Cape Peninsula taking in Chapman's Peak Drive, Cape Point Nature Reserve and The Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach. Chapman's Peak Drive is a 9km route, which skirts the rocky coastline between Noordhoek and Hout Bay, offering stunning 180° views of these coastal villages.
