This magnificent package starts with an overview of Nairobi Area visiting the Nairobi National Park, Giraffe Centre and The Nairobi Elephant Orphanage then takes you from Nairobi, to Kibwezi Forest and Tsavo for an unwinding stay with the graduated orphaned elephants from the elephant project run by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Over and above this, the areas are low traffic areas thus providing you with an absolute exclusive experience
You arrive Nairobi, Kenya with your PM flight upon which you will be met by an absolute vantage representative who will facilitate your transfer to the hotel/guest house of your choice
After a leisurely breakfast, you will leave the hotel at 8.30am heading for the Giraffe Centre to arrive at 0900hrs in time when they open the center. Spend about an hour at the center and get enlightened about the conservation education activities at the center. This is where the breeding of the endangered Rothschild has been ongoing since its inception in the 1980s. Here you can hand feed the giraffes on a raised platform. Apart from that, they do have a 100-acre nature sanctuary through which you can take a walk. Thereafter we head to Nairobi Elephant Nursery for an 11am Ellie visit. After the visit, we head to Galleria Shopping Mall where we will have our Lunch before venturing into shopping for supplies at the mall to be utilized at the David Sheldrick self-catering Camp based in Kibwezi Forest. After a leisurely breakfast, you will depart Nairobi at 6:30am for your 4 Hour drive to Umani Springs in Kibwezi Forest checking in at the lodge and head to the 11am elephant mud bath which is 5 minutes away from the lodge. A 1hour session with the elephants, interacting with the keepers who know more about each and every elephant’s personality and experiences. Return to camp for lunch followed by a siesta acclimatizing to the cool and serene Kibwezi Forest wilderness. At 4.30pm you will then leave the camp to the elephant stockades to await and welcome them back from their explorations in Kibwezi Forest. You awake early at 0530hrs have coffee/tea before heading to the elephant stockades to witness and experience release of the orphans from the stockades to the Park for the day. The Elephants are fed their SMA baby formula milk before being venturing to the wild with their keepers who serve as their parents. Return to camp for a well-deserved sumptuous breakfast; relax before visiting the elephant mud bath at 1100hrs within the park. A 1hour session with the elephants, interacting with the keepers who know more about each and every elephant’s personality and experiences. Return to camp for lunch, afternoon siesta to be followed by a farewell evening visit to the stockades. A drive to the sundowner deck for a soothing end to the day. After breakfast at leisure you depart Umani for your 3-hour drive to Amboseli National Park checking in on time for Lunch at your preferred Camp/Lodge. An afternoon siesta before engaging in an evening game drive in Amboseli enjoying the view of the Elephants with Kilimanjaro in the background. Return to the camp and have a sumptuous dinner to be followed by a well relaxed overnight at the camp/Lodge. Read more
Breakfast at leisure at 0700Hrs followed by a game drive. Highlight of the morning drive is to encounter the elephants, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles and other animals coming from Mt. Kilimanjaro heading towards the swamps to browse as well as cool off as the day gets hotter. Of course, we would not mind and it would be a plus to come across few predators found in the park to include the Cheetah, Lion and the Hyena. The mirage and dust devils in the vast open Amboseli ecosystem will definitely give you an idea of how dry the area is and the importance of Kilimanjaro to the flora and fauna inhabiting the Park. We awake early morning, have breakfast and check out of Amboseli Serena Lodge heading to Amboseli Airstrip to catch our scheduled 45-minute flight to Wilson Airport in Kenya’ s capital. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Airport Hotel of your choice for your relaxing day room, lunch as you await your PM transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your flight back home.
