After breakfast, usually around 8:00 am, meet with the instructor and travel with Jeepney to drive to the fabulous rice terraces in Hapao. A visit to Hapao Rice Terraces is a light and experiential trip. To see the beauty of the terraces you have to walk among them. Along the way, you can see the rice
terraces spread throughout Banaue and the surrounding area, the villages on the way and the vantage point on the terraces. Combined with the uniqueness of the flowing traffic pattern of the terraces, the currents are gathered to the watershed and form an integral and inseparable part of the ecosystem of the mountain, which enables the people of the Ifugao to grow rice at altitudes of 1,000 meters above sea level. The terraces were built using primitive tools and the ability of reason and creativity used by the Ifugao.
