Visit two of Japan's capital cities - Tokyo and Kyoto - where high technology and modernism is infused with Japanese tradition. In between, find relaxation in the hot spring resort town of Hakone with stunning views of Mt. Fuji. In Tokyo, try a creative sushi making course at the famous Tsukiji Market, see the famous sites and view the city from above and on the river. In Kyoto, see the many facets of Japanese culture in the temples and shrines.

Arrival, Transfer to Hotel

Upon arrival, meet with your Personal Assistant and transfer to central Tokyo and check in to your accommodation. Rest of the day free at your leisure after your long flight. Tokyo Sights, Sushi Workshop & Sumo

Day 2, today your Private English Speaking guide will show you what Tokyo has to offer. Start at the Tsukiji Fish Market - one of the world's largest fish and seafood markets in the world for the past 90 years, supplying many of Tokyo's restaurants and residents alike with the freshest stock around. Try your hand at a sushi making workshop and then taste your own fresh creations afterwards. Visit Sensoji Temple (Kaminarimon) and Nakamise Market to see one of Tokyo's most popular and colorful temples with a romantic history. The Tokyo Sky Tree is also nearby where you can ascend half a kilometer up into the sky and get views of all of Tokyo and beyond! After having lunch, enjoy a relaxing cruise around Sumida River to see the city from a different perspective. Finish off the day at Ryogoku which is the Center of the Sumo World and have a dinner experience eating a sumo wrestler's favorite meal - chanko nabe and where you have a chance to go face-to-face with a real (retired) sumo wrestler in the ring! Full Day Tokyo Sightseeing

Day 3, is a day to see where the hip, unusual and sometimes crazy young Japanese hang out. Your private guide will take you to Akihabara and Harajuku - the most infamous places for all things trendy and otaku-related. Then head over to savvy Shibuya and try to make your way across the Scrambled Crossing with over 2,000 other pedestrians walking all at once. Here you’ll also find the most technologically-advanced VR gaming center in the world! So much to see and do here that you'll feel like you've been transported to a completely different world. Next, find respite within the metropolis at the Meiji Jingu Shrine - the most visited Shrine in Tokyo for some spiritual healing. Shinkansen to Kyoto & River Cruise

Transfer to the cultural capital of Japan - Kyoto for the next 2 days by Shinkansen Bullet Train. Once there, you will be met with your English Speaking Guide and be whisked away to Kameoka where you will board a Japanese Merchant Boat for an exciting 16km ride down the Hozu River while experiencing exciting rapids and mysterious deep pools through the ravine in the beautiful seasonal scenery. The boat will disembark in Arashiyama which is one of the most popular and beautiful areas of Kyoto. Here, you will see the Togetsukyo Bridge and magical Bamboo Forest. Take a ride on a rickshaw for a little bit of fun! At the end of the forest trail, you will be met with Tenryuji Temple which is the headquarters of the Zen Buddhist Sect in Japan. A small hike from here will lead you to the Monkey Park where 100+ cute but mischievous Japanese macaque monkeys await your arrival. Feel free to feed and play with them. Transfer to Tokyo Airport, Departure
