North Seymour (Tuesday or Saturday)

North Seymour Island is teaming with life and is a great visitor site on Galapagos! You might have to give way to a passing sea lion or marine iguana. Blue-footed boobies nest on either side of the trail where mating pairs perform their courtship dance. Further along the rocky shore a strand of white sand lies inland, and large flocks of sea birds mass for outstanding feeding frenzies, rendering a tableau for us from ages long past. The trail in North Seymour Island turns inland to reveal the largest nesting site in the Galapagos of the magnificent frigate bird. These huge, dark acrobats have 5 foot wingspan, and males, with inflated scarlet gular pouches, sit precariously in low bushes to watch over their equally large chicks. Meals Included: breakfast & lunch ON THE 12TH DAY YOU HAVE 3 OPTIONS, NORTH SEYMOUR, BARTOLOME AND PLAZAS, ACCORDING TO THE OPERATIONS DAYS OF OUR OPERATORS ON THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS. Read more

Sierra Negra + Speed boat to Santa Cruz

Climbing the Sierra Negra volcanic crater is simply not to be missed for geology lovers and adventure seekers. Since its last eruption in 2005, the geographically unique Sierra Negra Volcano is home to incredible lava paths adorned with the local plant and animal life. On the way to Sierra Negra Volcano, there is an evident change of scenery as you get closer to the highlands, from volcanic dryness with black soil and little vegetation to a humid forest with local and foreign plants introduced into the environment. Sierra Negra is an excellent place for birdwatching (finches and "curracas" among many others). There are two paths to take, depending on the stamina of each person, one is a circuit which goes until the Sierra Negra Volcano lookout, and the other path goes is a straight way to the to the Chico Volcano. In the morning we will travel by car to the highlands of Isabela, following the route until the end of the road. There, we will begin a hike to a new geological world. During the hike we will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful views and incredible contrast between the volcanoes and the sea, to finally arrive to the edge of the Sierra Negra volcanic crater, the second largest active volcanic crater in the world. From there we will walk around this enormous 30 square mile crater. If we still have the energy, we can continue walking top the Chico Volcano, a place with very unique scenery where there is a fusion of shades of red, oranges, yellows and blacks. Here, we can observe fumaroles and spectacular lava formations. On the way back from this hike which can only be described as Mars-like, we can enjoy our last evening on the beaches of Isabela Island. Meals Included: breakfast Read more

The private car with a great guide, Pedro, was the way to see Ecuador. He took us where and when we wanted, knew lots of interesting things about beautiful Ecuador, never was lost, a great driver, gave us what ever we asked! The Ecuadorans are lovely, very kind people. We loved Banos for the great food, hot springs and inexpensive massages, recommend two nights there. We had airline issues and Marianne, who designed our tour, was there for us and made the inconvenience much more comfortable. I highly reccomend Gulliver Tours. Read more

Clara, United States

We had a blast! Our flight got in extremely delayed the previous night and Marianne made last minute arrangements for us to get picked up an hour later than agreed so we could sleep a bit more. Pedro was an excellent bilingual guide. Loved everything and haven't stopped talking about Quito!

Rhonda, United States

I can't say enough about this company! We used them twice for two tours and I was blown away by the service and professionalism! Prices were very reasonable! Today for our Cotopaxi tour, we had a very knowledgeable guide, Jose. Our driver Rodrigo was fantastic! The day before Wesley did a great job of navigating to Cayambe for our private horse ride. Both days Gulliver provided DELICIOUS lunches! Should I return to Ecuador I won't bother looking elsewhere for tours- it will definitely be Gulliver! Read more
