16 Days in two beautiful South American countries: Peru & Bolivia. Arrival to the capital of Peru, Lima, followed by the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas with Machu Picchu as its main highlight. From the Peruvian side of Titicaca Lake, you will travel to Copacabana, Potosí, Sucre, and of ´course the unique Uyuni Salt Desert, ending the tour in La Paz.

At your arrival in Lima, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel of choice. You will have a short briefing about next day activities.

Lima City Tour (3 Hours)

Our morning tour begins with a drive to the Huaca Puccllana pre-Inca remains where we learn about the cultural past of Lima, and the ancient civilization that inhabited this place. Later on, we head towards the colonial part of town visiting the Plaza de Armas, and to enjoy a panoramic view of the Cathedral, San Francisco Church and its impressive "Catacombs". Afterwards we will head towards modern Lima, to visit the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, finally ending our tour at Larco Mar, a modern entertaining center with a splendid view of the Pacific Ocean. Lima - Cusco City Tour

In the morning we head to the airport. After your arrival in Cusco, you will be welcomed and transferred to your chosen hotel. After your check in, we will have some time to settle in, and adapt to the high altitude of the city. In the afternoon we will head to visit the city of Cusco. The tour starts with a walk to visit the Plaza de Armas with its beautiful colonial buildings and churches including the Cathedral. Then we walk to Santo Domingo Church where we find the impressive Korikancha Temple with exquisite stone work and carvings, to finally visit the nearby ruins of Cusco: the impressive Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, and the Inca bath of Tambomachay. Our transport will drop us off at the hotel in the late afternoon. Read more

Cusco - Inca´s Sacred Valley - Ollantayt

In the morning we will pick up you from the hotel in Cusco to begin our ride down to the valley of Urubamba, known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here we start our first visit to the beautiful Pisac Inca Ruins, where during our 2 hours walk we can admire the fine architectural work of the Inca culture. Then we continue our tour to visit the colorful market of Pisac. Our transport will then take us towards the Inca town of Ollantaytambo where we visit the impressive Inca fortress and walk on this ancient typical Inca town. We will overnight in a nice hotel in Ollantaytambo, where the majestic fortress will overlook us. Breakfast included. Read more

Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Breakfast is followed by a transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo. From here, we start a beautiful train ride towards Aguas Calientes village from where we will be transported (25 minutes bus ride) up to the main entrance of the famous Machu Picchu Inca citadel on a public bus. We begin out guided tour of one of the most impressive citadels of the world. In the late afternoon, by public bus we head back to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to the city of Cusco. As we arrive in Cusco, our transport will take us to our hotel. Breakfast included. Read more

Cusco - Puno (Shared Tour)

Using a comfortable shared tourist bus transport we travel towards Puno after breakfast. The bus will follow the road heading to the southeastern direction. Our first stop will be for a visit at the Andahuaylillas Temple, where we can observe beautiful 17th century frescoes and a splendid golden main altar. Continuing, we will pass Urcos village and then stop at Raqchi for a visit at the Viracocha Inca Temple. Later on, we will stop at Sicuani for lunch (included). Following lunch, we pass through La Raya high point in the Vilcanota range, which is the highest crossing point of the White and Black Cordillera de Los Andes (4200m). Titicaca: Uros & Taquile Islands Shared

From your hotel we shall transfer to the shores of Titicaca Lake to board our boat to visit Uros, the unique floating islands located on Titicaca Lake. In this group of 40 big island-like packs of floating Totora (reeds), Uros natives continue living like their ancestors, preserving their costumes and their own system of communal life. Later on we continue to visit Taquile Island, where descendants from the Incas are still living, and where they spin the finest woven goods in Peru. Puno - Copacabana - Sun Island

In the morning, using a shared tourist class bus, we transport you to the town of Kasani on the border of Peru-Bolivia, to continue towards the city of Copacabana. After our check-in, in the afternoon, we will make an excursion to visit the Sun Island. This legendary and ancestral island is believed house the origins of the Inca Empire. Here we will enjoy visiting their temples and other archaeological heritages, Inca trails, and agricultural works scattered around the island. We will return to rest back in our hotel in Copacabana. In the morning we will enjoy a city tour of Copacabana, a small town located on the shores of Lake Titicaca. La Paz City Tour (Half Day)

Today we will arrange for you a ½ day city tour to visit this high Andean capital. Our first visit point will be the interesting Witches’ Market, where we can observe bizarre things used by the local “shamans” for their medicinal treatments. Later on we walk on the busy, well-known Sagarnaga Street full of shops and handicrafts for sale. Our tour will take us to Plaza Murillo where we will visit the local museums and attractions. Finally we make a visit to the interesting Moon Valley, a geological formation located in the outskirts of La Paz. After our tour, we head back to the hotel for lodging. Breakfast Included. La Paz - Uyuni

A morning transfer takes us to the airport to get our flight to the city of Uyuni, located on the shores of the impressive Salar de Uyuni (Uyuni Salt Desert). Our guide and transport will welcome you to start our tour. A visit to the small village of Colchani will be our first stop, where we find artisanal salt factories. Using our 4x4 vehicles, we will cross the Salar on our way towards Colque where we have a short hike to visit the fascinating Colque Mummies. We continue to Incahuasi, a rocky hill in the middle of the desert. After lunch we hike to the top of the hill from where we can enjoy a great view of the famous Uyuni Salt Desert. Our tour will continue towards the Galaxy Caves, interesting geological formations. Also here we will visit the “Devil’s Cave”. Our last visit will be at the train cemetery before we drive back to our Uyuni hotel. Breakfast and lunch included. Read more

Uyuni - Potosí

This day we have an overland trip to the city of Potosi, where the trip has plenty of wonderful views of the highlands of this area. In the afternoon, as we arrive, we will have a short city tour visiting La Casa de La Moneda and the museum, before we head to our hotel in Potosi. Breakfast included.

Morning, we will tour the famous mines of Cerro Rico. Borrowing down into its bowels, you can experience what life was like many centuries ago for those working in these mines.
