DAY 1
Arrival to Quito
Arrive to the amazing city of Quito, where our guide will be waiting for you at the airport. Head to the hotel of your choice, and enjoy of a delicious dinner.

DAY 2
Quito Historic Center & Equator
Your adventures begin in Quito, where we will visit the old town with its beautiful narrow streets and the colonial churches of San Francisco, La Compañia, and may more interesting landmarks of the Colonial Center. This visit is followed by a short stop at the top of El Panecillo hill from where we get a spectacular view of the city. In the afternoon, we visit the Equator monument the Ethnographical museum, and a representation of the colonial towns or past centuries. Breakfast included. Read more

DAY 3
Otavalo Day Tour
Departing from Quito, we will drive north to the city of Cayambe to try the famous “Biscochos” biscuits, and then continue to the city of Otavalo. After checking in at the hotel we continue to visit the beautiful Cuicocha Lake. We will have some free time for shopping in the nearby Cotacachi town, famous for its quality leather goods. We will then head to Otavalo, the largest indigenous market in South America and where you will enjoy of amazing color spectacles as you search for the perfect gift. Read more

DAY 4
Quito - Cotopaxi - Chugchillan
From Quito, we travel southwards along the Pan-American Highway to see the slow and constant activity of the legendary Cotopaxi Volcano, one of the tallest in the world. If weather permits and the volcano activity is not so heavy, we will make a visit to the Limpiopungo Lagoon located at 3800 m, just on the base of the towering snowcapped mountain. We will head towards one of the best spots for photography where we might be able to get some truly amazing shots if the weather permits. Then we continue our drive along scenic highlands of the western Cordillera de los Andes and towards the Sigchos town. From Sigchos we continue driving for about 40 minutes to finally arrive to our accommodation located near Chugchillan town. Read more

DAY 5
Chugchillan - Quilotoa - Ambato - Baños
This day we start early in the morning for a beautiful hiking tour (3 to 4 hours) which takes us to the rim of the Quilotoa Volcano where inside of the crater is located a beautiful lagoon. During the hike, we will enjoy amazing views of the highlands of Ecuador. Afterward, we will drive to Zumbahua, one of the most unspoiled highland areas of Ecuador and which offers nice views of the area and the enjoyment of the Indigenous Market (which runs every Saturday). Later, and passing the village of Pujili (Indian market runs every Wednesday), we continue our drive to the city of Ambato and finally in the late afternoon, we will arrive in Baños, a picturesque city located at the gateway to the jungle, where we will stay overnight. DAY 6
Baños - Chimborazo - San Juan - Riobamba
After breakfast, we drive to the city of Ambato continuing the route to Guaranda. At the point known as El Arenal, we enter on the secondary road which takes you up to the highlands of Chimborazo, Ecuador’s highest volcano. Here it is possible to observe graceful vicuñas and admire this impressive mountain. If we all feel in good shape, perhaps we can do a walk up to the Whymper refuge at 5000 m. We descend to the village of San Juan from where we continue to the city of Riobamba for a good night’s sleep in a local hotel. Read more

DAY 7
Riobamba - Cuenca
We continue south stopping by the amazing Ingapirca, and as an optional tour, the famous Devil’s Nose train ride. We will then continue to Cuenca to sleep for the night.

Cuenca - El Cajas NP - Guayaquil
We will arrange a short visit to the Cajas National Park, and then head to Guayaquil, in time for our flight back home.
