After an early morning breakfast, our Tour Guide/ Driver will come pick you from your hotel and drive you to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. This 8 hour journey takes you south west all the way to Kisoro while enjoying the beautiful scenery as you sit back and admire the Kigezi highlands, the sloppy
terraces of Kisoro, thousands of plantations on the road side, views of the Virunga ranges and various lakes. On arrival you will experience a cultural encounter. Here is where you are taken into Mgahinga’s forest, a home for the Batwa people. You get to learn about the lives of the indigenous Batwa on the Batwa Trail. A local guide will take you through the 8km gentle trail in the Park, demonstrating their traditional ways of life along the way, including hunting, gathering honey, fire making and fetching water.
