Arrival at the Airport, reception and transfer to the hotel chosen at Puerto Madryn. Night of accommodation.

Puerto Madryn - Peninsula Valdes
After breakfast, PENINSULA VALDES excursion will be done . WHALES SEASON – Between June and December It starts early in the morning (time will be fixed with the passenger) towards Peninsula Valdes Provincial Reserve, Natural Protected Area, that was declared as World Human Heritage by the UNESCO, in 1999. The pick up of the passengers will be done at the hotel where they are staying. In the entrance of the reserve, Puesto del Desempeño, passengers will have to pay for the entrance. Some kilometers away from the Puesto, the Interpretation Center Istmo Ameghino. The Istmo joins Valdes Península and Chubut, in Argentina. It is a strategically point to observe both gulfs. Inside it, fauna, flora, geology and history of the area can be appreciated. Birds Island is a little island located near the coast of Carlos Ameghino Istmo. After one hour of traveling, passengers will reach Puerto Pirámides, where they will embark in order to do the Regular and Traditional whale watching (optional), between June and December. Once the whale watching has finished, passengers will have some time in order to have lunch (optional). There are many gastronomic places near the place. At time fixed with the guide, the excursion will continue and then reach Península Valdés. During the journey, you will be able to appreciate a wide range of wild animals: guanacos, mulitas, foxes, choiques, maras and birds. The tour will then go towards Caleta Valdés Provincial Reserve, where sea elephants of the south stay between August and April in order to protect themselves from the sea and the strong winds. Later on, the tour will continue towards the South, to the area of Punta Delgado lighthouse (you won’t enter, only in private excursions), and then back to the south of the peninsula. During the journey, you will be able to appreciate Salinas Grandes and Chica, located 42m above sea level, and being one of the lowest points of the province. Notes: - The route of the excursion will be: Puerto Madryn, Istmo Ameghino, Puerto Pirámides, Caleta Valdés, Punta Delgada (without entrance to the lighthouse), and way back to Puerto Madryn. - The order of the excursion can change because of bad weather. The whale watching embarking from Puerto Pirámides is a priority. - If one part of the journey can’t be done because of bad weather conditions, there won’t be any refund. - Campo Faro Punta Delgada Hotel is a private property and it only allows the entrance to passengers that have lunch there. - If the passenger can’t navigate because of bad weather conditions, they will be given a note in order to claim for the refund, only if they had the navigation included. In case they had the possibility of going back to Puerto Pirámides in order to navigate the next day (or when the weather allows them), they will have to pay the cost of the transfer. - In the cost of the excursion the entrance to the reserve, navigation and lunch are NOT included. - This excursion includes 400 km and it lasts for about 10 hours. After breakfast, Punta Tombo Excursion Punta Tombo protected national reserve is located 180 kms away from Puerto Madryn city. It is the habitat of the largest Magellan Penguin colony in the World, with more than a million penguins.
