The immense plains of the Llanos occupy almost a third of the territory and constitute for many Venezuelans the soul of the country. It is the territory of the vaqueros, cowboys of the region, but above all the refuge of an innumerable variety of animals that make it one of the most beautiful and amazing ecological sanctuary in the world. You will observe thousands of birds of all kinds (herons, egrets, macaws, hoatzins ...), capybaras (the biggest rodent in the world), caimans, anteaters, anacondas and maybe, if you are lucky a puma or even the famous jaguar...

Transfer (about 3h30) through the great plains of Los Llanos. Immenses plains of Los Llanos occupy almost a third of the territory and constitute for many Venezuelans the soul of the country. It is the territory of the vaqueros, cowboys of the region, but above all the refuge of an innumerable variety of animals that make it one of the most beautiful and amazing ecological sanctuary in the world. Chaeck-in and lunch at the eco-camp. When the heat start to decrease, we leave aboard a safari truck to discover the landscapes of the Llanos and the incredible wildlife that populates them. Photographers and ornithologists will be delighted by this preserved area. You can watch capybaras, the largest rodent in the world, anacondas and a great variety of birds (herons, egrets, ibis, hawks, macaws, parrots ...). Return to the ranch at the end of the day. Ecological richness of Los Llanos

Breakfast. The day will be devoted to the discovery of the Llanos. On the morning, you embark a motorized boat for an excursion on the canals that crisscross the Hato and approach aquatic animals closely. It is an opportunity to observe caimans, crocodiles including the famous « caiman del Orinoco » (Crocodylus intermedius), as well as the avifauna that inhabits the banks (ospreys, herons ...) Lunch at the ranch and rest time to let the heat pass. Excursion in a safari truck to explore the hato and continue the discovery of the Llanos ecological richness. Note: Content and organization of the excursions will vary according to the natural conditions at the time of the stay (water level, climatic conditions, fauna present at Hato ...).
