Revealing the first secrets

Transfer to the Orinoco Delta form Maturin (1h) or Puerto Ordaz (2h30). You embark aboard a motorized boat to descend one of the arms of the majestic Orinoco (1h) which reveals to you its secrets along the way. Installation at the camp by the river. Lunch. In the midst of this lush green setting, time seems to be suspended. Hours, minutes, seconds no longer have the same weight ... In the afternoon, departure by motorized boat to criss-cross the canals of the delta whose banks are covered with mangroves and palms morichal. It is the ideal time to observe the local fauna: howler monkeys and capuchin monkeys, toucans, parrots, herons, ibis, iguanas and many others. On one of the arms of the delta where abound the piranhas your guide will teach you how to fish them. The pink dolphins of the Orinoco may also be part of the game. Meet the Waraos

Wake up with the sun in the midst of the jungle sounds. Breakfast. This morning, discovery tour in jungle. You will discover the fantastic natural laboratory of the rainforest and learn about the secrets of local plants and the daily uses of the native Waraos. Back to camp for lunch. In the afternoon, you will meet the Waraos communities. You visit several families in the area to discover their daily life. Our guide will explain their habits and customs, including the importance of the weaving of the palm tree moriche, the basis of local crafts. Return to the camp at the end of the day.
