Today you will be pick up from your hotel very early in the morning to the Tanjung Aru Railway station. The railway consist of a single 134km line to the town of Tenom, in the interior division. Upon arrival, hop on the board on a journey that allows all passengers to experience the beauty of countryside and the unique sights and the scenic routes taken by trains often offer views you would never usually see. The first train from Tanjung Aru to Beaufort was very modern. Stopped at town of Beaufort and mingle with the local at the wet market and the vintage shop houses that lace the charming small town of Beaufort. Your adventure begins in Beaufort Train Station, the train was much older, a diesel engine pulling much older cars. This train was slow and it was a much better view if you popped your head out of the carriage like a dog would in a car. This is where the great views started; the train ran alongside lush jungle hills, rushing river rapids, humble wooden huts decorated with colorful clotheslines and breathtaking mountain vistas. Indeed the view is amazing. You will enjoying the both view with natural breeze. At some point (Halogilath Station) you are requested to board into a different diesel locomotive with only two coaches as the final stretch to Tenom. The rafflesia begins to smell like rotting meat near the end of its life cycle to attract flies and other insects that may carry pollen for reproduction.
