Pick up early in the morning from Kota Kinabalu transfer to Tambunan town, drive about one hour. The journey can be scenic upon reaching the Sunsuron Valley. Walk to the starting Point at Duluan Jungle campsite about 600m, trekking to the campsite across river, hillsides, crossing of the rice field. Check in to the homestay and take a chances to mingle around with the local people, you will have your lunch at your host family. After breakfast, proceed to guided walk to the one historical place and story telling about the head hunter, visit the skull house, memorial stone called "watu tinuridong", and the museum of Anthony Gibon, the late Datuk Anthony Gibun, one of the first local school teachers to be employed, who went on to become the Assemblyman for the Tambunan Town, visit the Gambunan warior Monument. after the heritage walk, transfer to the Batu Gong Solibog, to witness of a magical stone that can produces a music similar with the tradisional gong for the Dusun tribe. Breakfast and get ready with the proper attire proceed to Agathis Camp (1 hour driving). Your local guide will prepare you packed lunch and start a 7.5km jungle trekking to Nepenthes camp .Expected to arrive at Nepenthes Camp by Mid-day. Take you packed lunch and rest before the next activities. In the afternoon, Trek to Takob Akob and Giluk waterfalls (3 Km) and then take a time to continue trekking to Giluk Waterfall. After breakfast proceed to 12.5km jungle trekking to Maliau waterfalls. The highlight of the adventure is to trek the majestic 7 tiers Maliau Falls and its will take about 6-7hrs trekking. Folklore has it that the Maliau Falls keeps a secret of a sleeping dragon under the water falls, and the movement of its big tail can cause flood. Before dark you need to proceed 5.5km Trek to Ginseng Camp, the trekking will take approx. 2hrs to 3hrs trekking depend on your pace. Simple dinner will be serve and take a rest at Ginseng camp. Breakfast and take a chance to trek to Ginseng waterfall that very close to the Ginseng camp, its will take approx. 15min to the waterfall. and trek back to Ginseng Camp and perpack everything and proceed to Agathis Camp about 9KM and take approx. 5hrs trekking. upon arrival to the Agahtis Camp, transfer to Tawau town. En route catching the second feeding at Labuk Proboscis Monkey to see the endangered proboscis monkey. if the time permitted, you also can stop by at the Sandakan War Memorial, The Memorial Park witnessed the death of approximately 2400 Australian and British prisoners of war held by the Japanese in the Sandakan POW camp. Visit the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary where captive orangutans are reintroduced into the wild. You will be able to observe them at their feeding stations in the rainforest and at the nursery. You ticket is valid for the both feeding at SORC, morning feeding time at 10:00hrs and afternoon feeding time at 15:00hrs. In between that time, proceed to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC), optional activities that you don't want to miss out! Travel by private bus back to kota kinabalu about 2.5hrs drive.
