In the morning, private transfer to the car rental agency, to take the car, and then drive to Anton Valley. El Valle de Antón The picturesque village of El Valle of Antón is located in the heart of the crater of a dormant volcano. It is known for its hiking trails and craft market where you can buy traditional souvenirs. Admire beautiful orchids, fruits, vegetables and other tropical plants immerse in a region with a permanent spring climate. Admire EL Chorro del Macho (beautiful waterfall), and the "Piedra Pintada", a huge petroglyph composed of pre-Columbian representations symbols that haven't been deciphered yet by the archaeologists, but it is said that they may apparently represent the country's map. Morning departure for 1 trip to your choice. The options are: OPTION #1: The crater of an extinct Volcano Leave in the early morning with your English speaking guide for El Valle de Anton. This picturesque village is located in the heart of the crater of an extinct volcano. It is known for its hiking trails and craft market where you can buy traditional souvenirs. Admire beautiful orchids, fruits, vegetables and other tropical plants immerse in a region with a permanent spring climate. After a delicious lunch in a local restaurant (not included) Admire EL Chorro Del Macho (beautiful waterfall), and then head to the "Piedra Pintada" a huge petroglyph composed of pre-Columbian representations. Symbols that haven't been deciphered yet by the archaeologists, but it is said that they may apparently represent the country's map. Finally, visit a centre for the production of orchids including the famous orchid of the Holy Spirit, the national flower. OPTION #2: The secrets of the Coclé Mountains. The Province Coclé is known for its crafts made with soapstone and wood carvings, cigars and of course the genuine Panama hat, El Sombrero Pintado. On the road, we will visit the homes of artisans. 2 hours hiking among communities towards the only soapstone mine in Panamá. Visit a small cooperative dedicated to the extraction and carving of this stone. Lunch break (drinks not included), then continue to the village on La Pintada where a craftsman will explain in detail the process of fabrication on the Pintado hat as well as the techniques for weaving and painting it. Free Morning and then drive to Chitré The Central provinces are considered as the nerve centre of traditions and folklore. The Azuero Peninsula offers pastures, small villages with nice traditional houses and many other treasures. Known for its carnival (in February) and his famous dresses "polleras" this part of the country deserves your attention. We propose the discovery of this region and its traditions: from visiting visit a pottery workshop in Chitré to a tasting of the national rhum or seco (national alcohol) in local distillery in Pesé. Leave in the early morning to the pier where you will embark in a rapid boat to Isla Iguana. Isla Iguana National Park is a marine refuge located 8 km from the coast. The island is famous for its white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, mangrove swamps and coral reefs. You might spot dolphins and small harmless sharks. You can even spot turtles (between June and October). Take this opportunity to explore the island and the coral reefs with your guide and the lay on a heavenly. Picnic lunch included.
