This morning, transfer to Paloquemao (private vehicle – about 5mn).
Visit the market of Paloquemao where you will find a wide variety of exotic fruits and vegetables as well as an impressive display of flowers. Colombia is the world's second largest exporter of flowers. This
place, full of color and scents, will awaken our senses.
Back to the Candelaria.
You will go for a walking tour in the Candelaria, historical center of the city. The colorful houses and colonial architecture charming district will lead you to Chorro Quevedo where Bogota was born.
You will go on to Bolivar square or “Plaza Mayor”, historical place of Colombia where you will see the Capitol, “Capitolio”, the town hall, the law court and the cathedral “Primada” as well as “La casa Nariño”, the presidential house (English speaking guide)
Free lunch in a typical restaurant to try local specialties (Ajiaco, Tamal, santafeno chocolate…)
After lunch, you will go to the Gold Museum, or “Museo del Oro” which shows the biggest worldwide collection of golden pre-Columbian objects. You will visit the Botero foundation which exposes famous Columbian artists’ paintings and sculptures as well as famous artists’ private collections such as Picasso and Braque.
