Arrival in Nosy Be, a representative of your hotel will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Nosy Be is a volcanic island with an area of 321 Km2; it is located on the Bay of Ampasindava. It is the gateway to the islands and archipelagos; a favorite place for lovers of nature, sports and discovery on land or at sea. Check-in at your hotel upon arrival. DAY 2
NOSY BE TOUR
After the breakfast, our local team will take you to a Nosy Be tour; you will begin with the village of Dzamandzar, the sugar factory which still stands as a landmark despite its lockout, and the sculptor. Later, you visit the sacred waterfall Androadroatra to better understand the Sakalava culture. You have Possibility to swimming. You will continue with the tour of Hell Ville (capital of Nosy Be), its covered market with spices, slacks of crabs, tropical fruits, its colonial buildings, and its table cloth market. Next on your Nosy Be tour is quick visit at the harbour and free time for shopping, After the shopping, you will leave to discover an authentic sacred tree (Banyan millennium). On the road you will be perfumed by the flowers of coffee, of pepper, fruit trees, and above all “Ylang Ylang”. You will take lunch in an ecotouristic lodge in the heart of Nosy Be. After lunch, several options: you can visit their botanical course, the waterfall, the Malagasy Ylang Ylang factory, or only relax and admire the beautiful view from the restaurant. Before returning to the hotel, you will continue the road to Mountain Passot, the highest point of Nosy Be where we can admire a fabulous sunset with a 360 degree views over the island. DAY 3
NOSY BE
This day, you will discover the Lokobe reserve. Lokobe is the last protected primary forest in Nosy Be, with its very high many varieties of medicinal and endemic plants from Madagascar and its millenary trees. This forest, which is the happiness of many scientists, will allow you to discover a dense entity of tropical forest. Like an initiation rite, let guide you inside this preserved universe to discover the lemurs nocturnal and diurnal (Macaco and Lépilémur), reptiles, chameleons, insects and tropical birds. Land transfer to the fishing village of Ambatozavavy in the south of the island, from where you will board a traditional pirogue. You join the East Lokobe Reserve by rowing along the mangrove swamp. Your guide (specialist in local fauna and flora) will share with you in a friendly atmosphere the secrets and legends of the reserve during a walk of about 2h30. Lunch included Overnight in a hotel. DAY 4
NOSY BE
On this day, you will go to a little cruise to discover neighboring islands of Nosy Be (Nosy Komba & Nosy Tanikely). With the local team, you will join the boat and depart for the cruise. First stop: Nosy Komba, it is the 2nd biggest island behind Nosy Be. In Nosy Komba, you will visit a Lemurs Park, a fishermen’s village with its traditional boat. You will also see the table clothes market, and then you could go through the village for a moment of shopping with the famous sculpture of Nosy Komba, its colorful stalls and its smiling faces. Second stop on the Nosy Be tour of the fourth day: Nosy Tanikely, it is a protected submarine natural reserve. Snorkelling equipment is all you need to dive into a real life size of aquarium. A few steps from the beach, you can see all kinds of corals, anemones, multicolored fishes, shellfish, and if you are lucky you’ll see turtles. Bathing, strolling to the lighthouse in order to see giantbats and lemurs, lizards, chameleons and butterflies are on the program. You will come back to the hotel in the afternoon.
