Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Antsirabe. Stop at Ambatolampy (70 km) known for producing cooking-pots from recycled aluminum. Continuation and arrival to Antsirabe. Antsirabe means a place full of salt, the name of the city comes from the presence of hot springs discovered in the 19th century by Of Norwegian missionaries. Transfer to your hotel, then midafternoon city tour by rickshaw to visit local craftsmen. Free lunch in a local restaurant. Antsirabe was founded by Norwegian missionaries as a sanatorium centre, attracted by the cool highland climate and the presence of therapeutic sources. Today, Antsirabe is a refined and quiet city, which retains a distinct 19th century appearance. It is crossed by wide avenues lined with palm trees and elegant buildings, teeming with rickshaws always ready to accompany tourists to discover the treasures of the city. Departure for Miandrivazo (220 km - approx. 4 hours asphalt) From the cool climate of Antsirabe, we pass into one of the hottest and driest towns on the island. Tobacco is grown here, and the waters of the Tsiribihina River flow like those of an equatorial African river. Free lunch in a local restaurant. Arrival at Miandrivazo, a small village at the shore of the Tsiribihina river .Transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel. Read more
After breakfast, departure for a pleasant stroll by local pirogue along the Mahajilo river a tributary of the Tsiribihina. Short transfer by car from the hotel to the boat launch. Cross the lively village of Miandrivazo, then board a local pirogue. Take a leisurely trip up the Mahajilo to meet the local population and discover their way of life. Return by pirogue to Miandrivazo, where we'll catch a glimpse of welcoming villagers and local cultures. Free lunch in a local restaurant. Drive to Morondava (km 265 - about 4 hours of tarmac road). As we approach Morondava, we will start to see the first baobabs. Wonderful, with their enormous trunks and their ridiculously undersized foliage. Arrival at Morondava, transfer to hotel. After breakfast, we set off for Bekopaka (220 km, approx. 10 hours' drive), following the track that crosses the savannah to Tsimafana, the embarkation point for the 45-minute crossing of the Tsiribihina River by ferry. Stop for free lunch. We continue and arrival in Bekopaka by the end of the day. We cross the Manambolo's river by ferry (about 05 minutes of crossing) to reach the other side of the village. Transfer to your hotel and get settle. Dinner and overnight in hotel. Read more
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a wonderful day of excursion. The Manambolo Gorge and the Small Tsingy The day begins with a pirogue ride through the gorges of the Manambolo, the river that flows through the reserve between the limestone formations. A foray into the cliff caves: these are the necropolises of the island's first inhabitants, the Vazimba. Continuation of the excursion to the small Tsingy and a glimpse of the large Tsingy. Breakfast and departure for the excursion to the Grands Tsingy (which requires good physical fitness, without dizziness). Arrive after about 01 hour's drive (17 km - secondary track). The Grand Tsingy de Bemaraha Day dedicated to visiting Bemaraha Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The park is renowned for its endemic variety. The karst formations stretch as far as the eye can see. You'll discover all the secrets of the forest, its tunnels, its suspension bridge and its belvederes, from the top of which you can observe the reserve from 360° for miles. Picnic lunch. Return to Bemaraha after the visit and spend the rest of the day relaxing. Dinner and overnight in hotel. Read more
After breakfast track back to Morondava with a stop at Kirindy Forest. The long track crosses sumptuous landscapes and passes through Belo-sur-Tsiribihina, where we take the ferry to reach the other bank of the river. Free lunch in a local restaurant. Visit of the reserve of Kirindy to observe the nocturnal fauna of the region. Dinner and overnight in hotel. Read more
Breakfast at the hotel. Diurnal visit of the reserve of kirindy Forest to see various lemurs, birds and other species of fauna and flora endemic to Madagascar. Free lunch in a local restaurant.
