The itinerary will take you to three parks to the north with awesome game viewing in prime location. Begin in Tarangire and explore the areas rich habitat for its mob of elephants and seasonal migration of wildebeest and zebras in the month of (June- October) before visiting Serengeti and unfold the area spectacular sighting of the big cats and the areas thrilling plains. The Maasi village visit awaits and experience their culture before visiting the crater for a day of game viewing and a chance to see the black mane lions. Walk around the Gibbs farm and finish with a delicious local lunch in Mto wa mbu.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arusha – Baobab Trees

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and after a short briefing, You will drive to Tarangire national park. The park with its endless tree savannah including the impressive baobab trees and seasonal marshes, is also home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. In addition to elephants you are also likely to spot giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, gnus and other types of antelopes and gazelles. Upon arrival at the park, your driver will open the roof of the vehicle and the extensive wildlife viewing will begin. Lunch will be taken at a picnic spot and in the afternoon you will get to see more of this amazing and beautiful park. In the late afternoon you will arrive at the Lake Burunge Tented Camp. Tarangire National Park

Day 2&3: Rolling Plains

After breakfast you will depart towards the Rift Valley, passing through Mto Wa Mbu and Karatu, in the cooler regions of the crater highlands. You will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop for a short look into the crater from a viewing platform, passing Maasai villages on your way to the Serengeti National Park. At the Naabi Hill entrance gate you can walk to a viewpoint with spectacular views across the plains of the Serengeti savannah. You will then continue towards the Seronera Area in the central part of the Serengeti. The park offers a multitude of wildlife including, lion, elephant, buffalo, and leopard. Late in the afternoon you will arrive at the Savannah camp. The next day will be spend exploring the areas rich habitat looking for more big cats viewing. Read more

Full Day Serengeti

After breakfast, another full game drive in this beautiful Park, with amazing landscape. The park offers a multitude of wildlife including, lion, elephant, buffalo, and leopard. Day 4: Crater Highlands

Breakfast at the camp followed by morning game drive in Serengeti, enjoy your picnic lunch under the acacia trees in the endless plain, afternoon proceed to Ngorongoro. Dinner and overnight Rhino lodge.

Day 5: Golden Jackal

After a very early breakfast descend down to these19km diameter caldera for a day of exploration. This world heritage site is home to over 25,000 large mammals including a host of predators like, lion, spotted hyena, jackal and leopard. Ngorongoro

Day 6: Steppe Eagle

Early morning drive for a walk through the Gibbs area in the Ngorongoro conservation area. The area is rich in birds and the last time I did these walk we counted 56 species of birds. Back to the lodge for a late breakfast followed by a drive to Mto wa mbu and enjoy a delicious local lunch prepared by the women there.
