Everest View Trek is designed for those, who wish to see the Everest and explore the village lifestyle in the lower Khumbu or Everest region with average 3-4 hours walking per day. After breakfast start sightseeing covering Swambhunath stupa, Patan Durbar Square, and Boudhanath Stupa. These sites are also UNESCO world heritage site. Swambhunath stupa; Swayambhu meaning the "the self-existent" is popular among the foreigners as Monkey Temple owing to a large number of monkey population residing in this area. Patan Durbar Square; an enchanting ancient art and crafts of palace buildings, courtyards and pagoda temples, is the center of Patan's religious and social life. Boudhanath Stupa, another important Buddhist pilgrims site. The Buddhists shrine of Boudhanath is one of the largest Stupas in the world and one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage and tourist destinations in Kathmandu valley. Fly to Lukla (2840m) and trek to Phakding(2650m) 40min. Flight After breakfast transfer to domestic airport to board a flight to Lukla (2840m), takes 40 minutes flight. The flight to Lukla will be one of the scenic lifetime experiences. Upon arrival at Lukla start trekking, until we reach to Phakding (2650m), Total distance from Lukla to Phakding is 8 km, takes 3 hours. Phakding to Namche Bazar (2835m) 6 hours/12km Today trekking from Phakding to Namche Bazar takes 6 hours/12km from Phakding to Namche Bazar (3440m) with slight up and down the rocky trail. You will be walking along the bank of the Dudhkoshi River (milky River). Enjoy the villages and living style of local people in the lower region of Everest region. Trekking through a beautiful pine forest that leads us along the bank of Dudh Koshi River and Hillary Suspension Bridge to reach to the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park and Monjo Village (2835m). After crossing the Phakding village don’t miss the opportunity of the first view of the Mt. Kongde Ri (6186m) on your right-hand side. The further trail with some up and down, we reach to the Bengkar village (2630m) on the corner of the River and Monjo village (2835m) on the left side of the River. Monjo village is the border of the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park, one of the UNESCO world heritage site in Nepal. Further Trek from Monjo to Namchebazar, which is 6km, takes about 3-4 hours. Just crossing the Monjo village at the check Post we stop, make entry and show the paperwork to the authorities and continue the trekking via Jorsalle village (2740m), Large Dovan (2830m) and cross the one of the highest bridge in the Everest region over the Dudhkosi River. Then follow the steep up the trail about one hour and reach to Chautara, the first viewpoint of the Everest. Trekking further about an hour steep up, you reach to the Namche Bazar, the capital of Sherpa people. This is the day for acclimatization. However, we do not spend time at the lodge. Explore around Namche Bazar & hike to Shyangboche (3880m) 3hrs/7km After breakfast, we take the good opportunity to explore the Sherpa Culture Museum and Photo Gallery (just above the Namchebazar) to observe the culture tradition, living style and history of the Sherpa people. This place also offers the best view of mountains including Mt. Everest, Kongde, Kusum Kangru, Thamserku, Aama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse. Then to hike 1.5hr to Everest view hotel passing through Syangboche Airport (3700m), which is said, the airport situated at the highest altitude in the world. However, it is not in use at this moment. We climb further to reach Mt. Everest View Hotel for great panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and much more. Then we escorted through the Khumjung village and interact with local people, observe the culture tradition and living style of Sherpa people living in Everest region of Nepal. You have the option to visit the Khumjung High School and interact with teachers and student. Then descend back to Namche Bazar. Today the total hour of activities will be about 6 hours. Shyangboche/Khumjung to Monjo (2835m) 8km/4hrs In the morning Enjoy the view of Mt. Everest from the hotel with leisurely breakfast. Then descend to Namchebazar, takes1.5hrs/ 3km. From Namchebazar, descend down the valley via Dudh Koshi river to reach Monjo (2835), which is 6km, takes about 3hours. From Namche to Monjo is steep down and takes approximately 4 hours. Mojo to Lukla (2840m) Today is our final day of trekking all the way fro Monjo to Lukla is 13km, takes about 4.5 hours following the lower altitude trail in the Khumbu region. We walk passing various Sherpa settlements enjoying the dense forest area covered by beautiful rhododendron and pine trees. We will also see many monasteries that resemble unique Buddhist culture and tradition. Upon arrival at Lukla, we will have a relaxing time at the hotel and make preparation to fly back to Kathmandu for the next day. Overnight at Lodge in Lukla. Read more
Fly Lula to Kathmandu 40min. Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu will take 40 minutes of amazing scenic flight lands you in the domestic terminal of the airport. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel, and in the afternoon enjoy as leisure. Note, there are high chances of cancellation of flights so be prepare for that. Do not be afraid of Earthquake; the government has done very good job, lots of cleaning up and reconstructions are going on. There are many places to go without facing any problems.
