Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Antsirabe. Stop at Ambatolampy (70 km) known for producing cooking-pots from recycled aluminum. Continuation and arrival to Antsirabe. Antsirabe means a place full of salt, the name of the city comes from the presence of hot springs discovered in the 19th century by Of Norwegian missionaries. Transfer to your hotel, then midafternoon city tour by rickshaw to visit local craftsmen. Free lunch in a local restaurant. Antsirabe was founded by Norwegian missionaries as a sanatorium centre, attracted by the cool highland climate and the presence of therapeutic sources. Today, Antsirabe is a refined and quiet city, which retains a distinct 19th century appearance. It is crossed by wide avenues lined with palm trees and elegant buildings, teeming with rickshaws always ready to accompany tourists to discover the treasures of the city. Departure for Miandrivazo (220 km - approx. 4 hours asphalt) From the cool climate of Antsirabe, we pass into one of the hottest and driest towns on the island. Tobacco is grown here, and the waters of the Tsiribihina River flow like those of an equatorial African river. Free lunch in a local restaurant. Breakfast, then transfer to Masiankampy, our boarding point (1.30 hour on track). Boarding on the barge, and starting of the adventure on this earth-colored river, known for its cultural significance, including the Fitampoha or the bathing of relics. Stop at AnosinAmpela to enjoy a beautiful waterfall. Continuing. Lunch on board. The final stretch of the descent. We will reach the small village of Tsimafana, our disembarkation point, after lunch. We will continue our journey by off-road vehicle to reach Marofandilia. Visit of the reserve to observe the nocturnal fauna of the region. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Diurnal visit of the reserve of kirindy Forest to see various lemurs, birds and other species of fauna and flora endemic to Madagascar. Free lunch in a local restaurant.
