The Cu Chi Tunnels are located 60 km northwest of Saigon in Cu Chi district. The Cu Chi Tunnels consist of more than 200 km of underground tunnels. 8:00: our driver will pick you up at hotel lobby. We enjoy a scenic drive through the Mekong Delta to Cai Be, well-known for its floating market. Here we will get on board our private boat with your local tour guide. and cruise through the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long town. Stop at a bonsai garden, where the host will treat you a sumptuous lunch with local specialties and a popular dish of 'Elephant-ear fish'. After lunch, continue our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta. Towards the end of the day we arrive at a house is built on stilts over the water. Morning we will make our way up the less travelled branches of the mighty Mekong River. Along the route, we will stop and learn about the local industries such as brick manufacturing, coconut production, and visit fruit orchards. Arrival in Sa Dec, visit Trung Vuong Primary School where the well-know writer Marguerite Duras spent her childhood… (Marguerite Duras’ famous novel is The Lover). A picnic lunch will be prepared on board in an area of natural beauty that is away from the hustle and bustle of civilization. Enjoy the beautiful and peaceful countryside landscapes while enjoying lunch. Continue our journey by cruising up the Mekong River. Late afternoon, we arrive in Long Xuyen which is a typically peaceful provincial town lying on the Mekong’s riverbanks, dotted with an attractive floating market. After breakfast visit Long Xuyen floating market, one of the biggest markets on the river which is less touristic. Today we enjoy lunch onboard with traditional dishes.
