After having breakfast at the hotel, prepare yourself to visit the most important Mayan ruins of the Yucatan Peninsula: Chichen Itza, known also as “One of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World”. Absolutely the most visited archaeological site in Mexico, due to its extraordinary architecture beauty
and its geographical location, Chichen Itza was the greatest Mayan centers of the Yucatán peninsula. The fusion of mayan construction techniques with new elements from central Mexico cultures, make it one of the most important examples of the Mayan – Toltec civilization. Several buildings have survived, such as the Warriors’ Temple “El Castillo” and the circular observatory known as “El Caracol”. Afterwards we will move to one of the least explored archaeological sites: Ek Balam, dedicated to the Mayan God that protected the city, represented by the Black Jaguar. At the end of the visit, we will move to Riviera Maya for accommodations at the hotel of your choice.
