A little more than a week to discover all the best of Mexico, in Central America. This tour is a unique holiday and journey through history, art, and culture, making you visit the rich archaeological ruins of the Mayan and Aztec civilizations. You'll depart from the lively capital, Mexico City, reaching the colonial cities with their typical Spanish flavor and the massive pre-Columbian pyramids and breath-taking beaches of Cancun and the Mayan Riviera
Arrival at México City international airport and transfer to the hotel Metropol or similar. Overnight.
An entire day dedicated to the visit of this city and the archeological site of Teotihuacan. Included are the visit of the “Zocalo” (the main square with the Cathedral and the National Palace), of the Templo Mayor, the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the most important center of pilgrimage of the entire Latin America. Later we will visit Teotihuacan with its imposing Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Lunch in a local restaurant. We will return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Read more
Transfer to the airport and departure by domestic flight to Tuxtla Gutierrez, the capital of the State of Chiapas. Stop in Chiapa de Corzo to visit the impressive Sumidero Canyon on a board of private boats. Lunch in a local restaurant & transfer to San Cristóbal de las Casas up on the mountains above 2,000 metres. Overnight at the hotel Mansion del Valle or similar. Read more
Full day dedicated to visiting the indigenous communities of San Juan Chamula & Zinacantan, located few kms from San Cristóbal. It is also included a short city tour, with the local market, where it is possible to admire the art crafts abilities of the local indigenous, and the famous local churches, among which the most important is Santo Domingo. Today we will descend from the Chiapas mountains, driving through the greenest valleys. A stop is programmed to admire the Agua Azul waterfalls and for lunch. Arrival in Palenque and overnight at the hotel Plaza or similar.
The entire morning will be dedicated to the visit of the archeological site of Palenque, still partly hidden in the tropical jungle, fascinating and rich of unique Pyramids. Lunch in a local restaurant and departure to Campeche. Upon arrival visit of the old city, still surrounded by ancient walls and towers, that still preserves a strong colonial flavor. Today our first stop will be to visit the site of Uxmal, one of the most important places for the Mayan culture. Lunch in a local restaurant. Arrival in Merida in the afternoon, the capital of the Yucatán State, the “white city”, so called for its colonial buildings. There will be a stop in the “zocalo” (main square) to visit the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Townhall and the House of Montejo. Overnight at the hotel Mision or similar. Read more
Departure to Cancún with a stop on the way to visit Chichen Itza, probably the most famous of the Mayan archeological sites, with its famous Pyramid of Kukulkan. Lunch in a local restaurant. Arrival in Cancún in late afternoon and accommodation at the hotel of your choice. End of tour
We really want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the trip. We visited Tulum, Coba, chIcheniza, Ek-balam, Uxmal, Palemque, Bekan, Balenku ...and many more! The sites are so differents and amazing. Isla Mujeres was the best place to slow down. We like cities of Valadolid, Campeche and Merida. Sisal and Izamal are very very charming too. Volevo ringraziare tutte le persone che hanno organizzato e ci hanno accompagnato in questo giro del Messico per due settimane. Grazie a Gabriele con il quale ho impostato il tour, grazie a Giulia e Roberto che sono stati bravissimi e molto preparati specialmente la Giulia che merita tantissimi complimenti per la sua capacità di raccontare le storie avvenute durante i Maya. Veramente brava come guida e come persona. Al nostro caro Daniel che ci ha portato a conoscere e capire il popolo Maya e quello ' vero' messicano. Ci ha fatto provare il tipico cibo messicano fatto in casa. Poi volevo complimentarmi con le altre persone che hanno tenuto monitorato i nostri passaggi. Ci avete chiamato per sentire come procedeva e come dovevamo comportarci l'indomani. Ovviamente tutte persone che abitano in Messico e che lavorano con i turisti. Poi e' arrivata Sofia che con il suo sorriso ci ha proposto un mini tour nelle grotte del rio secreto. Magnifico direi!!! Dovrei aver detto tutto e nominato tutti quindi credo sia abbastanza per farvi capire che è stato tutto perfetto. Read more
