DAY 1
Arrival Kigali
On arrival at the airport, you will be received by our company representative who will transfer you to Discover Rwanda. Briefing on your safari.

DAY 2
Transfer to Akagera National Park
After a leisurely breakfast drive to Akagera national park, reaching early afternoon. Have lunch thereafter visit the population residing near the park and be introduced to Imigongo arts – a unique art piece from traditional Rwandans where the unique work of arts generated from cow dung and are purely of traditional Rwandans to paint their homestead. Game Drives
Early morning, you will go for game drives up to the northern part of the park to catch up with early risers before they go into hiding. You will have chance to see lions, antelopes, giraffes, bush bucks among others.

Full Day Game Drive
Another day full game drive now exploring the southern part of the park – optional boat ride to explore hippos, crocodiles and other water birds.

Road Transfer to Kigali
After breakfast check out of your hotel, thereafter drive back to Kigali stops en-route to photograph, on arrival proceed to Discover Rwanda.

DAY 6
Road transfer to Nyungwe National Park
After breakfast undertake city tour of Kigali including visit to the Kigali Genocide museum, have lunch thereafter drive to Nyungwe forest. En route visit the National Museum and the Ancient King’s palace. You will arrive late afternoon then check into your hotel for overnight.

DAY 7
Chimpanzee Tracking
In the morning, you will set off to the forest for chimpanzee tracking adventure. The trek will take till early afternoon following their trails into the forest, thereafter get out of the park and drive back to your hotel for relaxation.

Drive alongside Lake Kivu
After breakfast drive to the northern port town of Rubavu, alongside lake Kivu. Today is largely a traveling day; you will enjoy the nice scenery of the lake and surrounding hilly countryside. Have lunch in karongi , then proceed to Rubavu for overnight. If time permits undertake a boat ride to explore nearby Islands. Read more

Lake Kivu
Relax by the shores of lake Kivu, later in the day drive to pfunda tea factory, indulge in a tour to visit the factory – see how coffee is processed from crop to cup.

Road Transfer to Musanze
After a leisurely breakfast drive to Musanze, main base town for gorilla trekking, on arrival check into your hotel.

Cultural Activities
After breakfast drive to Red Rocks premises, involve in the cultural activities we offer, ranging from Pottery Making, Basket weaving, cow milking, bee keeping , organic farming and later in the evening joining traditional cultural dancing troop, drumming and interacting with the local community.

DAY 12
Golden Monkey Trekking
After breakfast drive to RDB park headquarters, then enter the forest to trek the golden monkey, an associated species of the blue monkey only found within the Virunga area. The trek will take you till midday, have lunch thereafter in the afternoon involve in a village walk – visit the villages around the volcanoes area, see yourself how traditional Rwandans go about their daily chores. Transfer to Airport
After breakfast drive back to Kigali, on arrival proceed to the airport to catch flight
