This tour fulfill the desire of any traveler who intends to explore Rwanda to the maximum in terms of History, culture and wildlife. It includes the most important and beautiful places of Rwanda such as, Akagera national park, Nyungwe national park, Lake Kivu-gisenyi, Volcanoes national park, Historical and cultural site in butare, and Red Rocks cultural activities.
Arrive Kigali airport, be met by our Driver/ tour guide at the Airport and transferred to Hotel.
In the morning, you will have a city tour where you will have an optional visit to the Kigali genocide memorial museum. After lunch, you have a scenic drive through terraced hills to Volcanoes national park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Stops en route to photograph scenic areas.
After briefing from the senior park ranger you will commence your memorable gorilla trekking which normally takes 2 to 6 hours in the jungle. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of 1 full hour. Later return to Red Rocks , afternoon be introduced to the demonstration of local banana beer production. After breakfast drive to park headquarters enters the park to visit the kariosoke research center where she was buried next to her favourite Gorilla ‘The Digit”. Descend the volcanoes, have lunch then visit the Dian Fossey museum at Dian fossey international fund premises then drive to Rubavu.
After breakfast, undertake city tour of Gisenyi, later relax by the shores of lake Kivu, optional boat trips to explore nearby islands.
After breakfast drive alongside Lake Kivu to the southerly port town of Rusizi, the road is scenic and offers a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding hilly countryside. Stop in Rusizi for lunch then proceed to Nyungwe forest for overnight.
After breakfast transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before embarking on chimp tracking; enter the forest in search of the primates and other forest dwelling animals, later in the afternoon drive back to your hotel for rest and relaxation.
Drive back to Kigali via Butare, visit the National Museum, proceed to Nyanza visit the ancient King’s palace then continue to Kigali, check into your hotel
In the morning, you will set off a scenic drive to Akagera national park, reaching early for lunch at Akagera game Lodge. After lunch, enter the park for afternoon game drive which will take you till later in the evening, return to your lodge for overnight.
Full day game drive to Akagera national park, after lunch at your lodge goes for afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema. Expect to see hippos, crocodiles and water birds.
After breakfast transfer back to Kigali then proceed to the airport to catch flight
