Morning: leave Hanoi for Ha Long through the Red River Delta. Arrive in Halong Bay and board the Bai Tho junk. Have lunch, then visit Halong Bay, Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, Tuan Chau island, Dog island, Sail island and Ti Top Beach. Have dinner on the junk, whilst enjoying the sunset. Exploring the minority villages located in Sapa Valley: drive to Lao Chai and then trek (2 km) through the rice fields, the traditional Black H'Mong houses and then continue the trek to Ta Van Village (2 km) to visit a Giay minority village. In the aftenoon: visite the Matra village where life the Red Dao. Return to Lao Cai for train back to Hanoi (departure at 20h15). Overnight on the train. Read more

Breakfast at the hotel. Cruise on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda and the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang, by car to visite of the royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. Overnight in Hue. Hue: Former capital of the country from 1802 to 1945, Hue is often referred to as Vietnam’s most beautiful city and has long been a major cultural, religious and educational centre. Surrounded by moats, the intriguing Purple Forbidden City which served as the residence of the Nguyen Emperors was constructed by Emperor Gia Long from 1804. Largely destroyed during the American War, the remains of the citadel, which have been partially restored, still contain interesting sights. About 15 km south of Hue are the imperial tombs with the most important being: Tu Duc, Minh Mang and Khai Dinh. Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Cai Be by car, stopping to take photos in Tan An town overlooking the picturesque flat rice fields. On arrival in Cai Be, set off by motor boat to visit the Cai Be floating market and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on board their vessels. Then wander into the small villages to visit the orchard and fruit plantation. Keep cruising to Vinh Long through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made. Arrive in Binh Hoa Phuoc village, the green pearl of Vinh Long town, where you can immerse yourself in nature.
