This well-paced tour encompasses all the must see sights of Vietnam – Historic Hanoi, light adventure to the colorful land of hill tribes - Sapa, a cruise around spectacular Ha Long Bay, the ancient capital Hue, multicultural Hoi An, the mystical Mekong Delta and the bustling metropolis of Saigon. You will have chance to learn Vietnamese language with six tones and listen interesting funny stories of the Vietnamese grammar.

DAY 1

ARRIVAL IN HANOI

Arrive at Noi Bai airport. Welcome by your local guide and driver. Transfer to hotel (rooms are usually available from midday). In the afternoon visit of the city: Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Hoan Kiem lake, Ngoc Son temple, Tran Quoc pagoda and Quan Thanh temple, the Museum of Ethnology. Overnight in Hanoi. Read more

DAY 2

HANOI – HALONG BAY

Morning: leave Hanoi for Ha Long through the Red River Delta. Arrive in Halong Bay and board the Bai Tho junk. Have lunch, then visit Halong Bay, Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, Tuan Chau island, Dog island, Sail island and Ti Top Beach. Have dinner on the junk, whilst enjoying the sunset. Overnight on the junk. (Optional: Kayaking). Read more

DAY 3

HALONG – HANOI – LAO CAI

Have breakfast. Visit man's head island, Tortoise island, Toad island, Bai Tho mountain. Return and have lunch on the junk served between 9h00 and 10 h30. Back to Ha Long wharf. Coach trip back to Hanoi. Dinner transfer to the railway station to catch the night train to lao cai (usually departure time: 21h15 on the local train). Overnight on board. Read more

LAO CAI – BAC HA

6 : 00 am – Arrive at Laocai train station. Transfer to Bac Ha, Area of Flower H’ Mong. Have breakfast. Visite the palace of the King of H'mong, 3 hours for trekking in the village of Thai Giang Pho, Nano. Overnight in Bac Ha

BAC HA – SAPA

Visit Bac Ha market on Sunday or Sincheng on wednesday, a meeting place for ethnic groups that live in the area. Transfer to SAPA after lunch. Arrival in Sapa, visite the Sapa market, Sapa central. Overnight in Sapa

DAY 6

SAPA - LAO CAI - HANOI

Exploring the minority villages located in Sapa Valley: drive to Lao Chai and then trek (2 km) through the rice fields, the traditional Black H'Mong houses and then continue the trek to Ta Van Village (2 km) to visit a Giay minority village. In the aftenoon: visite the Matra village where life the Red Dao. Return to Lao Cai for train back to Hanoi (departure at 20h15). Overnight on the train. Read more

HANOI – HUE

Early arrival, breakfast and transfer to Noi Bai airport for boarding flight to Hue. Pick up at Phu Bai airport and transfer to hotel. In the aftenooon: visit Dong Ba market, the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, and the ruins of the Purple Forbidden City. Overnight in Hue. Read more

HUE

Breakfast at the hotel. Cruise on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda and the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang, by car to visite of the royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. Overnight in Hue. Hue: Former capital of the country from 1802 to 1945, Hue is often referred to as Vietnam’s most beautiful city and has long been a major cultural, religious and educational centre. Surrounded by moats, the intriguing Purple Forbidden City which served as the residence of the Nguyen Emperors was constructed by Emperor Gia Long from 1804. Largely destroyed during the American War, the remains of the citadel, which have been partially restored, still contain interesting sights. About 15 km south of Hue are the imperial tombs with the most important being: Tu Duc, Minh Mang and Khai Dinh. Hue counts also many other places of religious and dynastic importance as well as interesting museums. Read more

HUE – HOI AN

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Hoi An. Stop for photos at the Hai Van pass and Lang Co beach. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, Visit the Cantonese congregation, the Chinese-style temples and pagodas. Overnight in Hoi An.

After breakfast, discover Hoi An - a UNESCO world heritage listed site: Take a walk around Hoi an's ancient Town and explore its treasures; the Hoi An market, the Tan Ky House, the Japanese Covered Bridge ;silk manufacturer. 1h boat ride on the Thu Bon river.Overnight in Hoi An. Hoian: Known as Faifo, it was an important trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries 40 km south of Danang. The picturesque town of Hoi An, with its unique character, is considered the most enchanting place on the coast. A mixture of Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, British and French influence, it retains the feel of centuries past. Its magnificent collection of almost 850 old structures and intact streetscapes just beg to be explored… a great deal of rustic charm and an ideal spot to relax! Read more

HOI AN – DANANG – SAIGON

Transfer to Danang airport for the morning flight to Saigon. Arrive in Saigon, pick up at Tan Son Nhat airport and transfer to the hotel. After lunch, explore the colonial residential quarter which includes the hotel de ville, Opera house, Central Post Office as well as the elegant 19th century, Notre-dame Cathedral and the most recent Reunification Palace. Overnight in Saigon. Ho Chi Minh City, previously known as Saigon, is the economic capital of Vietnam. It’s a bustling, dynamic and industrious centre and by far the most populous city of the country. The streets, where much of the city’s life takes place, are a myriad of shops, stalls, stands-on-wheels and vendors selling wares spread out on sidewalks. The city churns, ferments, bubbles and fumes. Yet within the teeming metropolis are the timeless traditions and beauty of the ancient culture. Read more

DAY 12

SAIGON – VINH LONG – CAN THO

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Cai Be by car, stopping to take photos in Tan An town overlooking the picturesque flat rice fields. On arrival in Cai Be, set off by motor boat to visit the Cai Be floating market and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on board their vessels. Then wander into the small villages to visit the orchard and fruit plantation. Keep cruising to Vinh Long through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made. Arrive in Binh Hoa Phuoc village, the green pearl of Vinh Long town, where you can immerse yourself in nature. Enjoy a lunch of fresh river food served in the heart of the garden accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music. By car to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho. Read more

CAN THO – SAIGON – DEPARTURE

After breakfast, take the early morning boat trip to visit the Cai Rang floating market which is at its busiest at this time of day ( 5h – 8h AM). Keep cruising through the small channels system.
