Porvenir is the capital city of the chilean province of Tierra del Fuego, located on the banks of the Strait of Magallanes, on the bay known as Karkamke. The Selknam were the natives that used to inhabit those lands, and you´ll be able to visit the city museum, dedicated exclusively to their memory. A surrounding that has barely changed from the hunters time. Close to Porvenir you may find Parque Pingüino Rey where a small colony of King Penguins lives. Today you will start your return to Ushuaia. This time you will drive across Tierra del Fuego from west to east to reach the eastern coast at San Sebastian. From here you will head south towards Rio Grande. Before reaching your final destination for today you may want to visit Cabo San Pablo, where you can view a shipwreck almost still fully in tact. Today you will drive back to Ushuaia. One last chance to view the mesmerizing lakes Fagnano once driven by Tolhuin. In Tolhuin we recommend to stop at the famous local bakery where many local and international celebrities visited and tasted the "medialunas" (Argentine croissant) this bakery makes.
