A couple of weeks away I did a half-day Cu Chi tunnels cycling private tour through Vietnam Discovery. I knew about this agency from Vietnam Visa, who arrange my multiple-entry on-arrival visa for Vietnam. The cycling tour was excellent. Mr. Thai, the guide, was a cycling enthusiast and very kind person
who did a top-notch job not only with the biking itself but with the explanations along the tour and in the Cu Chi tunnels. The bikes were of first-rate quality (two Cannondales that looked like new) and the whole organization, including the transportation by van from the city, was flawless (the van was accessible during the complete tour in case it was needed). Mr. Thai cycling pace was perfect to fully enjoy the entire ride (which I believe was close to 40 km long) and not to feel that we were going slow. Lunch was at a great local restaurant outside of the tourist beaten path where their pâté was amazing. Even the short break for a tapioca-based snack was something that added to the whole trip. Once the tour was finished, Mr.Thai invited me (free of charge) to ride a mountain-bike circuit close to the city, where he was competing the day after; we stayed something like one hour biking the circuit, and part of it was inside a temple (that was the icing on the cake for the day). On top of that, Vietnam Discovery help and assistance was second to none, with an essentially instant reply to any questions I had about the tour before booking it. I should not forget a great job of Chloe and especially of Leo in this respect. The tour was somewhat pricier than other I had seen advertised online but I think that the possible small difference is in my opinion justified by the high quality of the memorable experience. All in all, this was a very positive experience with Vietnam Discovery.
