Overview A short safari visiting Namib Naukluft National Park – departures and end locations can be in either Windhoek or Swakopmund offering great flexibility to travellers. You will be met at your establishment in the capital just before 14h00 (during Namibian wintertime – 13h00). Depart from Windhoek and we’ll first pass the Kupferberg Pass. We drive along cattle farm land and see a few farmhouses along the way. The landscape is hilly and we can enjoy some nice views over fertile valleys. As we continue, the vegetation changes and the farmland is used for sheep and goat farming. We take the turn via the scenic and steep Spreetshoogte Pass. Enjoy an undisturbed view on top of one of the steepest passes in Namibia! We will stop at the small settlement Solitaire and continue to the beautifully set Namib Naukluft Lodge & Soft Adventure Camp. Both establishments are located on the private nature reserve: NamNau Habitat, which hosts a variety of desert adapted game like Springbok, ostrich, earth wolf, bat-eared fox and many more. An early morning rise will be rewarded by the sight of the spectacular dunes at Sossusvlei on your excursion. Make the effort and climb one of the dunes and you may be overwhelmed by the sight of the dynamic and living desert. A full breakfast will be served at Sossusvlei. Visit the Sesriem Canyon before returning to the lodge for your lunch. During the late afternoon a sundowner-drive to the natural marble mountains on the 25,000 ha private nature reserve is offered. Return to Windhoek 09:00 Departure (during Namibia’s wintertime – departure from the lodge / camp at 08:00) and return to Windhoek via the Remhoogte Pass, which boasts with a variety of vegetation (it is possible – to return via Spreetshoogte Pass – depending on weather and road conditions) and arrive at around 12:30 (Approx: 260 km on gravel road – ca 3.5 - 4 hours driving time). OR Return to Swakopmund 09:00 Departure (during Namibia’s wintertime – departure from the lodge / camp at 08:00) and return to Swakopmund via Gaub & Kuiseb Pass. You will pass Namibia’s largest Nature Reserve, the Namib Naukluft Park. An internationally renowned desert research station is located at Gobabeb (not accessible to the public). We pass the Vogelfederberg and shall drive through Namibia’s harbor town Walvis Bay, before we arrive in Swakopmund at around 12:30. (App. 270 km on gravel road – ca 4 hours driving time) Read more

We had the most fantastic experience with Falcon Safari--they arranged an amazing tour that included lodging (A'Zambezi River Lodge), dinner cruise on Zambezi, walking tour of Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe side), helicopter tour, dinner at Livingstone Room, dinner at Boma, day trip to Chobe, and then arranged for a 4 day stay with lodging and tours in Johannesburg. We cannot say enough good things about our experience. From the time we were picked up at the airport to the time we were dropped off again--every transfer was on time or early, accommodations were fantastic and the tour guides were amazing. Worth every penny (which I thought was very reasonable for completely private tours). We loved our visit to Zimbabwe and Chobe. The arrangements in Johannesburg were awesome as well.
