Today’s morning, we start our tour to all the hot spots including Central Post Office, Reunification Palace and the provocative War Remnants Museum; browse for some souvenirs at the bustling Ben Thanh market or stroll along the ancient Rue Catinat (now Dong Khoi Street) to see how fascinating and extraordinary the city’s life and lights seem not to stop until midnight. After lunch, we drive to the outskirts of the city to Cu Chi and witness the tremendous work done by V.C and guerrilla fighters during the Vietnam war, the complicated network of tunnels that remains to these days. After breakfast, we take a smooth ride to southern Saigon and reach the land that is home to friendly Mekong farmers and fishermen; walk across their lush orchards and sample a variety of seasonal tropical fruits; venture out in a small sampan and glide through the narrow canals and enjoy the tasty food of the Mekong, which is interestingly garnished and offered by these hospitable locals. After breakfast, walk along the village to enjoy the fresh air in the morning. Boat trip to visit the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. We transfer back to HCMC and the airport to fly Danang. Arrive at Danang airport, you are picked up by our guide and driver and transfer to your hotel in Hoi An. In the afternoon and evening, balance your leisure time between lounging at the beach or happily emptying your wallet while browsing the world of handicrafts and souvenirs that Hoian has to offer or simply stroll along the riverside to get a feel for the olden days of the busy Faifo merchant port. After breakfast, you take the half day private tour to My Son – the sanctuary of Cham culture. You will walk into the ruins of ancient My Son holy land to recall the Champa people’s glory days dating from the 4th to the 13th century. Afternoon, we start walking tour to visit Hoian ancient town through the picturersque streets of this 16th century trading port, were the buildings remind us of its Chinese, Japanese, French and Vietnamese architectural styles: Visit the Chinese Embassy Halls, Japanese covered bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda & Tan Ky House. After a rewarding drive through the scenic Ocean Clouds Mountain Pass (Hai Van pass) with a stop in Cham Museum and Marble Mountain in Danang, you will arrive to Hue – the ancient city dated back since 1802. Lunch is served in a local restaurant in Hue upon arrival then check into hotel and balance of the day is at leisure time or having an orientation walk along the bank of Perfume River. Breakfast is at hotel, then meet up with our guide again to start a day exploring the charms of the Citadel in this former Imperial City with many well-preserved royal monuments in Hue. Board a dragon boat to cruise the Huong River followed by a visit to Thien Mu Pagoda and then back to the car to visit the famous TuDuc’s tomb. In the afternoon, visit the Citadel, Forbidden Purple City and the Dong Ba Market before getting back to the hotel. Overnight in Hue. Read more
After breakfast and check out hotel, say goodbye to Hue and take a flight to Hanoi. Welcome by our local tour guide who take you to your hotel. Have restful night in Hanoi.
The full day tour takes you around Hanoi’s highlights sites including the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and his stilt house, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda. You also have chance to visit historic University – The Temple of Literature, that dates back to the 11th century; learn about Buddhist practices in a serene lakeside pagoda. Visit the famous Ethnology Museum. Back to the Old Quarter to walk through the narrow streets that were famous for its specialized craft making guilds, the guild streets are named for their product or location and still bear such names nowadays; and then join in an unique water puppet show that features the Viet folklores and culture. At 08:00, you will leave Hanoi for Halong Bay after 3.5 hours drive and board a boat, enjoying lunch while cruise through the bay. The magical bay is home to thousands of limestone islands rising from the waves like dragons’ teeth. Later in the afternoon, you will visit an interesting fishing village with opportunity to interact with fishermen who have been living in the bay for almost three generations. Back on board, you will enjoy cocktails or cooking classes while watching the sunset, before indulging in a lavish dinner onshore. Afterwards, you can choose to do anything from joining movie night, playing board games, or relaxing at the beauty spa before retiring for the night. Wake up on the bay to the sounds of waves, fresh air and breeze welcoming the new day. After breakfast, visit a beautiful limestone grotto then walk back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. The boat arrives at the harbor by 11.30 am and your driver is waiting to take you back to Hanoi. Balance of the day is at your leisure or last minute shopping in the Old Quarter.
