Early in the morning we take flight to Lukla from where all Everest treks start. We walk on a trail that gradually descends to Cheplung village from where we get a glimpse of Mt. We continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Koshi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views. Namche Bazaar known as the Gateway to Everest, is home to many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchanges, internet cafes and a bakeries. Overnight at Guesthouse. Read more
This is essentially a day of rest at Namche in order to acclimatize our bodies with such elevation. You will have the opportunity to hike to Khumjung village (3,786m) and explore monasteries and local Sherpa villages. Namche itself is a famous town with some modern facilities. After stroll around the Namche area, we follow on the gradual trail with few short up and downs overlooking magnificent view of the great giant snow peaks at Shanasa. Hiking for around 2 and half hours we arrive to the top of Mong La Pass. From Mong La Pass we savor the spectacular views of Mt. Ama Dablam, Kantega and Mt. Khumbilla. From the hill-top an hour downhill trek through the forested region brings us to the riverside village, Phortse Tenga. After the lunch the day’s trek involves a long tiring uphill trek through the forest of pines, oaks and rhododendrons all the way to Dole. Read more
After Breakfast We climb on a steady trail through a scenic ridge with views of Cho Oyu, Kantega, and Thamserku mountains. We ascend from Luza village and walk above the Dudh Koshi River. We continue walking through small villages and sandy trails before reaching Machhermo. Today we will savor the views around Gokyo, which are truly magnificent. Treading along the stony trail we arrive to Fourth Lake of Gokyo after 45 minutes trek. Another one hour and forty five minutes trek brings us to the Fifth Lake of Gokyo. From the Fifth Lake we could savor the spectacular view of Lonely Everest. The fifth lake is also popular for the views of North and South slopes of Everest. We can see the trail that extends towards Cho Oyu Base Camp at the fith lake and the view of Nogunzpa Glacier, the longest glacier in Nepal is so fascinating from Fifth Lake of Gokyo. Read more
Walking through the Ngozumpa glacier, hearing the sounds of the falling iced rocks into the small glacier lake, we start our trek towards Thangnak early morning. In sunny days the ice melts and it becomes more difficult to walk. With some ups and downs, we reach Thangknak. We climb uphill towards Cho La Phedi and return to Thangnak where we stay for overnight. Read more
Today's trek is a tough one as we need to cross Cho La Pass (5420m). We climb uphill and reach a glacier traverse on the eastern side that needs to be crossed carefully as there are slippery iced rocks. Upon reaching Cho La Pass, dazzling view of Ama Dablam and Cholatse is seen. There are chances of rock falling over here as well. We move downwards and little further from Cho La, there lies a danger crevasse, also the path is slippery which makes the crossing a difficult one. Taking in good precaution, by the use of crampons, we move down towards and arrive at Dzongla. Read more
After having breakfast today you will start your trek to Lobuche. On the way you can witness Dzongla Lake, Ama Dablam and Thamserku.
Following the rocky moraine path and watching icy glacial pond and icebergs below the Khumbu glacier a short downhill walk after the last rocky moraine dunes bring us to Gorkasep. After reaching Grokasep you will be headed up to Explore the Everest Base Camp and back to Gorkasep. Goraksep is located below Kalapathhar (5545m) and Mt Pumori. Read more
Early in the morning we will heading up to climb Kalapathhar, Best view point of Mount Everest and other magnificent mountain surroundings with 360 degree view. After exploring Kalapathhar we will back to down hill walk to Pheriche(4410m).
First part of the trail directly goes through Rhododendron forest and pine forest to Fungethaga. The trail slightly goes uphill to Namche via Trashing and Sanasa village. Great view of the Khumbu Himalaya from village of Sanasa. Overnight in Namche Bazar.

Tout d'abord un grand merci à Rajendra. Malgré nos changements de date répétés, Rajendra a pu organiser de la meilleure façon possible notre trek et répondre à nos demandes. Ce trek s'est magnifiquement déroulé dans la très belle région qu'est le Mustang. Nous y avons fait de belles rencontres, certainement grâce à notre tout jeune guide Ngawa de 23 ans qui parle bien le français. Celui-ci nous a fait découvrir de très jolis endroits notamment une petite grotte en montant vers Lori Gompa qui bientôt ne sera plus accessible. Nous avons apprécié également notre tout jeune porteur "Guelbu", discret et très attentionné. Merci à Ngawa et à Guelbu pour le très bon déroulement du trek et merci encore à Rajendra pour l'organisation, pour notre accueil à l'arrivée à l'aéroport et son accompagnement à notre départ. Friends Adventure Team organised trekking to the Everest Base Camp for our group (8 people). Their packages includes everything (all transfers, hotel in Kathmandu, local flight, trekking permissions, meal in Kathmanu and on the track) and that's extremely handy, you don't need to worry about anything during your travel. The guides were very nice guys, who helped us on the route. On the way to Lukhla, the weather conditions wasn't good and the planes wasn't able to fly. And the company organised a helicopter transfer with pretty reasonable additional pay. Nepal is not the most organised country, but all depending on the Friends Adventure Team was done really well.
