But for Kalaw trekking trip, rainy season from May to September is quite complicated with rains and muds, preference is less tourists and everything is very green.



Our representative will welcome you to Mandalay Airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Mandalay, this city was the last capital of the Konbaung dynasty, until his fall in 1885 in the hands of the British. Even today, Mandalay is the religious and cultural center of the country, offering a true aftertaste of the oldest Asia and more deeply Buddhist beliefs. We will continue with other points of interest of Mandalay like the sacred Pagoda of Mahamuni, and its Buddha covered by tons of gold, and some of the oldest relics of Buddhism that can be found there. Also the exquisite monastery carved in wood Shwenandaw, or the extraordinary pagoda of Kuthodaw, and its hundreds of stupas that contain in its interior the biggest open book of the world, that is of marble leaves. Finally, we will enjoy the best sunset on Mandalay Hill, with an interesting view of the entire region and the wild Ayeyarwaddy River. Read more

Breakfast at hotel, in the morning we will visit the market of Jade stone, the most important of a country that owns more than 80% of the world's reserves of this precious stones. Later, we will visit another former royal capital, Inwa, which was founded in 1364 and was the royal capital for nearly 400 years. Highlights here include the ‘leaning tower of Ava’, Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, which was built by masonry as opposed to most other monasteries which are built with wood, and the elegant teakwood Bagaya Monastery. We then continue to Sagaing, which was the capital of the Shan Kingdom in the 14th Century and briefly the capital in the 18th Century, as part of the Konbaung Dynasty. The town is located slightly downriver from Mandalay and has many interested stupas scattered over Sagaing Hill. Finally, we visit the ancient royal capital of Amarapura. Here, we will visit the Mahagandayon monastery, which is a school for young monks, and beautiful sunset from U Bein Bridge, which is more than two-hundred years old and is the longest teakwood bridge in the world. At 05:00 in the morning we will go to the pier to check-in. At 06:00, we will embark on our journey along the Irrawaddy River to arrive at Bagan at 17:00. Along the way, we stop to visit one of the typical villages on the banks of the river. The friendly crew will also give us cooking classes and teach us some of the secrets of their culture. Optional Balloon ride over Bagan (with supplement cost - price will be offered upon request) Early in the morning, transfer from the hotel to one of the launch points carefully selected by our team. We will enjoy the views over the thousands of temples of Bagan. Without a doubt, a unique experience in an idyllic place. Breakfast at the Hotel, we visit the local Nyaung U market to witness the regional products of the dry region of Myanmar. Then, we start the day in one of the most famous and impressive archaeological sites in Asia, the Temples of Bagan (11th to 13th centuries). Points of interest include temples and the most beautiful and ancient pagodas such as Shwezigon, Wetkyi-in-Gubyaukgyi; Ananda; And Ananda Ok Kyaung and the millennial paintings of the kyansittna Umin. After a lunch break, we will visit the traditional lacquering artisans, on a private tour where we can learn about this unique technique from Myanmar. We will continue visiting one of the most amazing pagodas and temples of the place, like the Dhammayangyi Pahto. Finally, we will witness a memorable sunset selected by our guide. * Between the visits to the temples, at 11:00 pm, we will go to a local monastery, little crowded, where about 130 monks stand in line daily and pray before taking their lunch. After breakfast, transfer to the airport to catch our flight to Heho, in the picturesque and abundant Shan State. Then, drive to Kalaw, the visit to this ancient mountain resort in the colonial period, very popular with the British, includes its magnificent local market and the Nee Paya, a Buddha painted in solid gold. The cool mountain climate allows a good relaxation, being ideal also for trekings of all type. Read more

In the morning, we will drive 45 minutes to Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp ( and meet with their trekking team. After light refreshment, walk through along to the river to watch the elephants bathing and you can join in feeding and washing to the elephants with their Mahouts (care takers). After this, explore of the surrounding the Green Hill Valley conservation forest area, with opportunities to see a wide variety of butterflies, birds and orchids. After lunch at the main elephant camp, you are also welcome to join in planting regional trees from the nursery, taking active part in forest recovery efforts. Overnight in Kalaw. Read more

After breakfast, transfer to the village of Tha Yet Pu village (30 minutes) where you will meet your trekking guide and start the march towards Kan Par Ni village (1h: 30m). We will visit the different families that live from the local crops or the more traditional crafts. In the middle of the road, we will stop to eat in the monastery of one of the villages in the area. Then we will continue our march to the village of Waa Gyi Myaung (located on the highest mountain of Inle Lake, after 3h: 30m), and passing through the villages of various ethnic minorities Taung Yoe, Danu and Pa O Overnight at a local monastery. In the morning, we will have a simple local breakfast and start walking to the descending foot path to Kyauk Ngek village. Continue walking down hill to Khaung Daing (or) InnDein village (located on the western shore of the Lake) through the forested valley. Upon arrival to Inn Dein we are going to visits Inle Lake. The aim is to see the lifestyle of the majority of Inle inhabitants, fishermen and farmers who work with great skill on the beautiful waters and floating crops. We will pass through the most picturesque corners such as the Monastery of Ngaphe Chaung, whose monks have very ancient relics, and that we chose for their privileged situation, with their beautiful views to the floating crops of the lake. We will visit the Inpawkhone village, where you can see how the silk fabric and lotus flower traditionally made by hand and with looms are made. For this area we will also stop to enjoy how the shipyards manufacture in a totally handmade way the ships that sail by Inle. We will also sail to the famous Paung Daw Oo pagoda with five Buddha images (four of them are taken out of the temple at the great festivals of the Paung Daw Oo festival). Finally we will return to the hotel passing through the floating gardens to make the best photos while the sunset gives us surprising changes of color of a landscape that is a world heritage site. After breakfast at the hotel, we will sail to the 17th century pagoda of Indein, crossing some of the narrow streams and the famous floating gardens to reach the densest areas of the lake. In this area, we have an exclusive route, passing through the small town Pa O (ethnic minority) of Netaw from the old jetty, walking about 30 minutes up the hill, and passing the beautiful bamboo forest. Finally we will explore the ruins of Indein, some stupas constructed even some centuries before the XVII, to finish our visit by the new jetty. Read more

After breakfast, we will transfer to Heho airport for our flight to Yangon. Yangon, the main city of Myanmar, the most populated and active, but it ceased to be capital in 2005 (Myanmar's capital is Nay Pyi Daw, purely administrative capital). Then, we will pass by Lake Kandawgyi, to admire the fantastic and mythological Karaweik boat, besides being one of the beautiful green areas where the Yangon people usually go to relax. Nearby, we headed to the great reclining Buddha Chauk Htat Gyi, before reaching the Shwedagon Pagoda, the most important and revered religious monument in the country. Read more
