Creel: Excursion to Cusarare waterfall, Arareco lake and San Ignacio Mision
Cusarare Waterfall is 100 feet high (about 30 meters) and has some wonderful overlooks of the falls from many vantage points. One can also go all the way to the bottom of it by taking the seemingly
never ending stairs. Local children love to swim at the bottom of the falls on warm summer days.
If you wants to blend with nature, there is nothing like the more than 20 thousand hectares (124,000 square miles) of woods in Arareco, right in the middle of the Tarahumara mountain range.
There is a beautiful lake with blue waters surrounded by grey rocks, oak and pine trees. You can rent boats, go fishing and engage in water sports.
***Note: This tour requires one to be capable of walking 500 meters from the parking area to the waterfall and back again over uneven trails and going up and down several sets of stairs along the trail.
Your day ends with drop off at your Hotel.
