Early morning after breakfast transfer to Entebbe Airport to catch a domestic flight to Kisoro Airstrip. The flight takes approximately one hour. You will be met by our representative who will transfer you to the lodge which is 35km away. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, dating back over 25,000 years and contain almost 400 species of plants. More famously, this “impenetrable forest” is home to half of the remaining Mountain Gorillas in the world. After lunch, you can either relax at the lodge or take a guided community walk around near lodge. Gorilla Safari Lodge is an owner managed luxurious lodge which is tucked away at the boundary of Bwindi Impenetrable forest. It has breath taking scenery, luxurious ambience that will ensure a comfortable stay and a relaxing atmosphere after a strenuous Gorilla tracking. After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure, after which you will be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla tracking begins. Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating. One of Africa’s major highlights is when you encounter these amazing animals. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest, and discover their gorgeous natural habitual and the many species they share it with. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before finally sloping down back to your lodge. If your trek was relatively short, you may have a guided nature walk around the lodge and the surrounding communities in the evening. for one have used crystal safaris 3 times of which the latest was when I went for gorilla tracking in Bwindi. The lady by the name Christine has always been helpful the times I have interacted with her. In June this year, i went for gorilla tracking under crystal safaris with Jona as our guide. My friends and I had a fab time and I would recommend Jona to u and the lodge we slept in was in Bwindi Gorilla safari lodge was in point with those water bottles to keep us warm the beds were on point and jeez the food was delicious (try there onion soup).
