Bamboo is one of the main plantation in Malaris village. They sell it through the Amandit river by rafts as their traditional transportation since past time. Now you could enjoy bamboo rafting adventure on clean water which originate from Meratus range and feel the fresh air while down stream of Loksado highland.
Meet at airport and directly transfer to hotel for check in. Next, we will cruise the Banjarmasin River up to Bakut Island for exploring proboscis monkeys and people activities on riverside. Afterwards, return to hotel for overnight. Free at your own leisure
Early in the morning, we will leave for floating market to explore the unique culture of Banjarese that trade commodities from boat to boat, then return to hotel crossing Banjarmasin River while sightseeing people activities at riverside. Breakfast at hotel, then continue our trip to visit Upau village for exploring the daily life of Dayak Deah people. Lunch will be en route, dinner and overnight on local house. (B,L,D) Read more
After breakfast, we can see the mystical performance of Dayak Deah which takes about 1,5 hour, where some women are dancing followed by traditional music, meanwhile the men are climbing the thorny tree without getting any injury, and then we will continue our trip to Nagara village for sighting traditional machete making, metal ware, and pottery home industries . Next, we will travel to Pandak Daun swamp village for observing water buffaloes swim to the stall and villagers' unique activities as well as enjoying the romantic sunset outlook. After breakfast, we will do soft trekking to Dayak village for exploring the longhouse, rainforest, and the waterfall nearby the village. I just wanted to say thank you for the great tour that you organized recently for my 4 friends from Australia to see the orangutans in Kalimantan. They had a fantastic time. Their guide, boat crew, and boat were all excellent. I’m looking forward to being able to do the trip myself in the future.
We wanted to thank you for the great trip we had. Jumri, Firman and Mr. Udin made our trip more than worthwhile. They were very helpful in every kind of way. We had lots of fun. The forest where we went was so beautiful and the lodge also. After the trip to the destination, a meal was prepared by Mr. Udins wife who is a great cook! Even with our special diet, she surprised us with every meal! Of course seeing the orangutan in the wild is only to dream about but the whole stay made it so special. The lodge, the crew, the sounds, the animals, the super nice lunch we had on the way back and the interesting conversations we had. Every track we made was one to remember. We could do nothing than to recommend this trip to everyone interested in seeing the forest with all his animals and flora living there.
