06:00 – 08:00 The day starts early onboard with Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Tai chi also called Tai chi chuan, combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and gentle movements. Coffee, tea and pastries for breakfast are served in the dining room with morning view of bay’s landscape. 08:00- 11:30 Transfer by tender to Sung Sot Cave. Walk up about 100 steps to the cave entrance. It takes approximately 45 minutes for cave visiting. Visit Sung Sot Cave, one of the biggest cave in Halong bay with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Return to the boat by tender. Proper shoes are highly recommended. Back to Glory Legend Cruises. Check out and settle your bill at reception. Have a lunch while cruising back to the Tuan Chau Wharf. Relaxing on the sundeck or in the dining room enjoying the bay scenery while approaching the wharf. Disembark to Tuan Chau Wharf. Aodaigo ladies in a traditional Áo Dài (Vietnamese traditional dress) meet and take you to Quốc Học High School, founded on October 23, 1896 and known as the first and the oldest high school in Vietnam. Then we ride eastward along the city river to Thanh Toàn tile-roofed Bridge in Thanh Toàn village, Thủy Thanh Commune, Hương Thủy District, about 8 km from Hue city. Here we will enjoy the peaceful scenery of the countryside with farmers working on their tranquil rice fields, talk to friendly local people in the small market and learn more about their daily life. 9.00 am – Leaving Thanh Toàn Village, we head to Vọng Cảnh Hill to have a vista of the beautiful Perfume River. Then we will have a stop at Hổ Quyền Arena, built in 1830 on the south bank of the Perfume River. It was the arena where duels between elephants and tigers were arranged for the entertainment of the Emperors, the royal families and mandarins. Stop for a rest at Mr. Hè Café. Its owner is an artist and a war items collector. You may be curious and interested in learning the history behind his collection of Vietnam War items, such as canteens, zippo lighters, soldier headgears and etc. A short walk from Mr. Hè Café is Từ Hiếu Pagoda, also known as the resting place of the Nguyen Dynasty’s eunuchs. Tu Hieu Pagoda attracts visitors with its own beauty and thrilling and fascinating stories of the eunuchs. Afternoon: Imperial Citadel and its Royal Enclosure, the Forbidden Purple city. Have a home style dinner in Ngo’s house. Savor with special dishes like fig salad created by Mrs Tuyet who helps you how to make this typical dish in Hue. At 08:00 AM our tour guide will pick up at hotel and drive to Cai Be (about 2 hours). Our day will start with a visit of Cai Be colorful floating market cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables. Then we can make a stop at some local workshops and handicrafts villages, where you can see how people make rice paste, coconut candy, rice-paper for spring-rolls. A smaller dug out boat will take us deeper into the delta through small canals to enjoy the tranquil beauty. It is so interesting to see local farmers catch fish or pick up fruits by ancestral ways in Mekong Delta. A great lunch will be served at local house.
