You will discover the highlights of Myanmar. On an adventurous train ride with the Yangon railway you will know the big city life outside the center. In Mandalay, you cross the longest teak bridge in the world and you will learn about the local cultivation of green tea in Pindaya.

YANGON

You will cross the Yangon River to Dhala, a charming low-lying township with a ferry. Upon arrival to Dhala, travel by trishaw throughout the town, which includes a visit to the colorful local market, Buddhist temples and rural neighborhoods with plenty of opportunities to interact with the local residents. You will return to Yangon by boat around midday. In the afternoon, you will visit Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda and Kandawgyi park. Take a look at Karaweik Hall and enjoy the view of the Shwedagon Pagoda. Fly to Bagan, one of Asia's greatest architectural sites. Today the former royal town is filled with visual highlights like the Shwezigon Pagoda or the Ananda - and the Gubyaukkyi Temple. OPTION: HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE OVER BAGAN The morning will start off with an exciting hot-air balloon ride above the Bagan countryside. You will observe one-of-a-kind views when the sun begins to rise over the Irrawaddy River and various stupas in the region. You’re simply not going to find many other opportunities like this on Earth. (Only available from October/November through March). In the morning we go to the vibrant NyaungOo market, where the locals trade with fresh produce and other products. In the afternoon, you will observe some of the tallest temples in Bagan with the horse cart ride. BAGAN - MANDALAY (BY FLIGHT)

Fly to Mandalay this morning. Visit of the royal town of Mandalay. Visit of the Mahamumi Pagoda and some experts in the arts and crafts. Then, you will visit the Kuthodaw Pagoda - referred to as "The World's Greatest Book". Continue with the Shwenandaw Monastery, the golden monastery. Later, we head for Amarapura. They make a stop at a weaver and in the Mahagandayon Monastery, which houses over a thousand young monks. As soon as the sun begins to sink, a short walk will take you to Ubein Bridge. MANDALAY - AVA - SAGAING - MANDALAY

Cross the bridge over the Irrawaddy River to Sagaing. With its 600 pagodas and monasteries, Sagaing Hill is generally seen as a spiritual center of Myanmar. The next stop is Ava, the capital from the 14th to the 18th century. Cross the small river by ferry and travel in a traditional horse cart to the wooden Bagaya Monastery renowned for its extraordinarily elaborate woodcarvings. Enjoy an overview of the city from the Nanmyint Watch Tower - also called “the leaning tower of Ava“ while the Sun slowly sinking down. Drive back to Mandalay. Lunch and dinner on your own account. MANDALAY - PINDAYA (BY FLIGHT)

Fly to Heho. From Heho airport drive to Pindaya. After a short flight, reach Pindaya, a home to the local Danu people and visit the local market. This afternoon, continue to a nearby village to spend time with a local family learning about the growing of tea and the production of tea leaf salad. Continue to their nearby farm where you will walk amid the tea plants, stopping to pick a few ripe leaves if you wish. Then you will return to the house to watch a demonstration of tea leaf salad making. End the day with a visit to the famous Pindaya caves, a unique site housing thousands of Buddha images estimated to have been formed more than 200 million years ago. Driving distance: 2 hours, 59 km. PINDAYA - INLE LAKE

In the morning, take a scenic drive to NyaungShwe. At the jetty, you can go on boats and go over Inle Lake. Along the way, you will pass several villages that are built on stilts over the lake while observing the local leg-rowing fishermen and their “floating gardens. Visit the NgaHpeChaung Monastery, which houses a large Shan Buddha collection. Afterward, you continue to the most important plant of the lake, the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, with the 5 sacred Buddha figures adorned with gold leaf. The program will continue if time permits, the Longyi hand weaving in Inpawkhone as well as a Cheroot factory for the typical handmade cigars. INLE LAKE- INDEIN

Start the day with morning market. A 1-hour boat ride down a small canal will take you to the Pa-Oh village of Indein. The Indein Pagoda complex is one of the most amazing sites around the shore of the lake. Take a stroll around the village before ascending the moss-covered stairway to the top of a hill for mesmerizing views of the placid surroundings. The Indein Pagoda complex is undoubtedly one of the most amazing sites around the shore of the lake. Trek around the near village before your boat ride back to Lake. INLE LAKE – HEHO – YANGON DEPARTURE

Breakfast will be served at your hotel before driving by a combination of boat and car to the Heho Airport (1-1.5 hour) for a short flight back to Yangon.
