Breakfast at the hotel. First visit to Amarapura, 15 km (30 minutes) from Mandalay. Visit U Bein Bridge for a walk along this 200 year-old teak bridge teak bridge built in 1782 when Amarapura was Royal Capital. The bridge was constructed of 984 teak posts that were once part of the deserted Inwa Palace.
At 1.2 kilometers in length, it is the world’s longest teak span. Then, visit Mahagandayon Monastery , a famous Buddhist monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study . If the time permits, observe the monks having their last meal of the day in total silence. Continue visit traditional hand – woven silk workshop .
Then, visit the former Royal Capital of Inwa ( Ava ) with a short ride local ferry boat ( 10 minutes ) located on an island between the Ayeyarwaddy and the Myitnge Rivers. Visit Inwa by charming horse-drawn carriage pass through the ancients city walls to visit a brick and continue visit to the impressive wooden monastery of Maha Aungmye Bonzan, built of brick and stucco as well as the Bargayar Monastery, famous for its ornate woodcarvings and teak posts ( also known as Ok Kyaung ). Visit to the Nanmyint Watch Tower, the remains of the palace building nicknamed ' leaning tower of Ava ', the climb to the top offers lovely views over river. After visit , the journey continues with Khaung Mu Daw Pagoda at Sagaing and the Sagaing hills, a retreat for Buddhist devotees to enjoy sunset . Drive to Mandalay and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
