Today you’ll start the day with discovering Old Havana. This World Heritage site has been awarded to be one of the Caribbean's most impressive historical cities since 1982! Step inside this dynamic area where grandeur meets tradition in an exciting atmosphere. Wonder through the narrow streets and spacious plazas, admiring the Spanish architecture as you discover the birth place of Havana – Plaza de armas, and other iconic sites like Plaza San Francisco de Asis, Plaza Vieja, Plaza de la catedral. Make sure you bring your camera, as there'll be plenty to capture before our bus trip to Vinales. Beautifully rural, Vinales is endowed in mogotes, covered with vibrant green forests and artisian tobacco farms, delivering you the world famous Cuban Cigars. It’s one of the cooler areas of Cuba, so it’s also a nice escape from the hotter parts of the country. Here we will start with an orientation walk before we head to your salsa Lessons to get those stiff bodies moving after our bus ride and to prepare you to dance the night away as the nightlife is very active in this village with the local residents more than willing participants in dancing to the local live music. Vinales Valley is a World Heritage site, being an amazing “living landscape” of traditional farms and 300 meter high limestone formations. It boasts an abundance of local seasonal fruit and vegetables, such as enormous avocados, mangoes and pineapples. It is a fascinating scene to see where oxen are working the fields and the scent of tobacco fills the air. In the morning we’ll take a guided walk through this rich country side, to discover the life of Cuba’s farmers and learn the secret methods of rolling a Cuban cigar directly from those who grow it. Not only will you get to try one, you get to learn how to roll them yourself. Enjoy some free time in the afternoon discovering the township or taking a siesta before heading to the Organic Farm, El Paraiso to enjoy stunning sunset valley views and a delicious farm-to-plate experience that will excite your senses! This morning we will start making our way back to Havana. One the way we will stop in a town set in the mountains, Soroa, the ‘rainbow of Cuba’ as it is known. A hidden gem on the edge of the Biosphere reserve of Sierra Del Rosario. Here we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the spectacular Soroa Orchid Garden, set among 7 acres of luscious green oasis of flora featuring 250 native Cuban species and amazing birdlife to match. Take a stroll among the marvellous tall trees to discover the pristine waters of the local waterfall or enjoy your free time by the pool before we reconvene for a traditional home cooked dinner and enjoy authentic Cuban hospitality. Soak up the fresh air of the mountains with a lazy breakfast before we keep tracking back to Havana. You'll have some time to take a final stroll around Havana, enjoying its magic, closing this whirlwind trip with a classic car cruise around the streets of Havana.
It’s time to say good bye to this amazing island. We have not planned any activity for you today. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we loved showing it to you! This is where we depart, yet would strongly recommend that you stay a few more days to explore this unique city.
