5 DAY MULTISPORT TORRES DEL PAINE (5D/4N)

Trek, ride and kayak Torres del Paine’s highlights – plus a few “just for you” additions. Hike one of the Park’s quietest trails, horseback ride through the wilderness, kayak pristine rivers and lakes, hike French Valley and trek to the Towers lookout and embark on a Laguna Amarga bike. Staying each night in our comfortable Riverside Campsite, this is a unforgettable multi sport adventure to entice all outdoorsy types.

Hike the Lazo-Weber trail

A private transfer will pick you up at your hotel in Puerto Natales and take you to Estancia Lazo, a 13,000 hectare cattle ranch founded over a century ago and still operating today beneath striking views of the Paine Massif on the shores of Laguna Verde. From here we’ll hike into Torres del Paine National Park along a generally flat trail through peaceful stretches of native beech and coihue forests. This area is teeming with wildlife. As you walk, watch for condors and caranchos circling the skies; guanacos grazing on the hills; and woodpeckers, owls, and lesser-known species such as the cachaña (Austral parakeet), peeking out from the leafy trees. We’ll reach Honda Lagoon and continue on to the Toro Lake lookout (559 m), where 360 degree views of mountains, rivers, lakes and glaciers await. Take a moment to identify the Grey, Serrano and Paine Rivers, Serrano Valley, Mount Balmaceda and the Geike and Tyndall Glaciers before we make our descent to the Weber bridge, where a transfer will take us to our campsite Read more

Round trip ride to Tyndall Glacier

An unexplored valley at the border of Torres del Paine National Park awaits us today. We’ll ride across rivers and through landscapes of lakes and wetlands, while views of the Paine Massif and the glaciers of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field shift alongside us. At the lookout point of Tyndall Glacier we’ll stop for lunch and later return via a different path, this time riding along the shores of the Serrano River and past the waterfall of the same name. Transfer Pehoe Lake, Hike French Valley

An early morning transfer will drive you from Serrano area to Laguna Azul on the border of Torres del Paine National Park and then to hike French Valley. This is an area abundant in birdlife (watch out for coots, swans, ducks and woodpeckers) and the lagoon offers a great view of the three Towers; mirrored in its blue waters on clear, still days. Here, we’ll embark on a Laguna Amarga bike ride experience, a lagoon whose waters contrasts with Laguna Azul's in both color and texture. (Its name, Amarga or “sour”, is due to its high pH level, cloudy turquoise color and the distinctive white salty rim at the shoreline.) Highlights on the Laguna Amarga bike ride experience include Cascada Paine waterfall and the chance to photograph wildlife and the Park's endlessly changing views. After this great Laguna Amarga bike ride experience, we’ll take a private transfer back to Puerto Natales. Read more

Full-day sea kayaking expedition on Grey

After the Laguna Amarga bike ride experience and an early breakfast the following day, your transfer will drive you to embark on a Grey Lake kayaking experience where you will meet your kayaking guide. Here, with views of Paine Grande and Grey Glacier as our morning backdrop, you’ll hear about kayaking safety and paddling techniques. You’ll be on the Grey Lake kayaking adventure for approximately 2 hours, weaving amongst the floating icebergs that have calved from the glacier and been whittled into natural ice sculptures by the wind and sun. While experiencing the Grey Lake kayaking trip, take time to look around you: the granite peaks of Paine Grande, Cordon Olguín and Los Cuernos interplay beautifully with the water’s multiple shades of turquoise. Leaving Grey Lake kayaking trip, we’ll begin our descent of Grey River, which snakes through canyons bubbling with rapids and framed by steep rock faces. Accompanied by views of the imposing Paine Massif, we’ll paddle for 25 km down Grey River until it joins the Serrano River. After 4-5 hours of a Grey Lake kayaking adventure, we’ll arrive back at our campsite ready to stretch our muscles and prepare for dinner. Read more

Round trip Hike to Base of the Towers

Our final day begins with a transfer across the National Park to the starting point for the trek to the three Towers. Your hike begins with an hour’s ascent, following the Ascencio River into the Ascencio Valley. Here we’ll stop to observe how the valley’s beauty unfolds with rich beech forests, glaciers and waterfalls. Past this lookout point, we continue uphill, this time ascending a gigantic terminal moraine (a ridge formed at a glacier’s end point) where we’ll be rewarded by the arresting sight of the Towers themselves. At this lookout point 900 meters above sea level, we’ll rest, take photos and have lunch. Our descent follows the same path and a private transfer will take you back to Puerto Natales. Read more

The trip was all that I had hoped for. Torres del Paine is spectacular and not to be missed. Although I could have done this trip on my own, I wouldn't have learned all that I did, and the boat trip to Grey Glacier wouldn't have been possible. It was a memorable trip! Felipe knew so much about the region and he willingly shared all he knew. Overall, an excellent experience. Torres del Paine is a place not to be missed. Read more

Thank you to Chile Nativo for this awesome and very special trip at Torres del Paine! It was organized perfectly - beginning with Johana, who was always very friendly, helpful when ever there were questions arising prior to the trip or even when urgent support was needed just the night before the trip. I was very thankful and appreciated that a lot! During the trip itself, even though some of the hikes were unexpectedly demanding (but still a joy!), we always had enough time so we didn't need to rush through the park, but enjoy the scenery instead when ever we wanted, and take our time to get from A to B. It is certainly a very special place down there at Torres del Paine, and I'm glad we were able to fully enjoy it's beauty! Read more
