Wake up and enjoy another delicious breakfast in the rain forest, then you will drive around 3 provinces before you get to Turrialba valley located on the basin of the Turrialba Volcano, Turrialba is known for the many products such as the Turrialba cheese, coffee and sugar cane plantations.

Today you will continue your adventure from Turrialba to the Talamanca mountain range to reach San Gerardo de Dota. On the way you can make an optional visit to the highest active volcano in Costa Rica, the Irazú volcano. Afterwards, you will continue to the old capital Cartago, where you can visit the most famous church of the country "La Basilica de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles". Today you will have a day to enjoy the beauties of the south pacific coast, you can hike at the beach, most famous beaches to hike and relax are Hermosa beach and Uvita National Park, also you can take a tour at Hacienda Baru, there are tours such as zip lining tour, hiking, bird watching and overnights tours, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Uvita National Park, there you will find the famous Whale’s Tail, with a length of about 2296 feet and a width of 820 feet, and is the world’s third largest sandbank. During the low tide, you can walk to its very end. The entry fee to the park is $6 for foreigners. Today you will drive back to San Jose. On the way there, you will pass through incredible volcanic mountains to the central valley before you get in San Jose to stay your last night, in the afternoon you can visit the capital and explore some museums or restaurants around.
