After the impressive Bale Mountain trip, enjoy the breakfast and then start driving o embark on a Sanetti plateau tour. This plateau is the best place in Ethiopia to see the elegant endemic animal-Ethiopian Wolf. Also crawling are rodents, the largest being the giant mole- rat, found only in the Bale
Mountains. Explore the area on foot, marveling at the lichen-clad rocks. Look to the sky for soaring birds of prey: golden, tawny and Verreaux’s eagles as well as the bearded vulture (lammergeyer), lanner falcon, and augur buzzard. Contonue your Sanetti plateau tour and drive up and pass Tulu Dimtu - the second highest mountain in Ethiopia at 4,377m. Then start descending to enter the Harenna escarpment, plunging more than 2,000m towards a vast tropical forest in just 8km. Stop at the small village of Rira and have lunch form your lunch box together you may enjoy the local dish of ambesha and gomen (flatbread and steamed kale). Then hike in the Harena forest through dense stands of mountain bamboo. With some luck, you may encounter the elusive bamboo specialist- the Bale Mountains vervet endemic to Ethiopia.
